I am very happy overall with this Television. The sales price made it a no brainer to finally take the plunge into 4K. Getting the TV legs attached might have been the hardest part of the set up. Getting connected to the internet was easy. Adjusting the picture was not as intuitive as I'd like, but it was also painless. I've used Firestick before and also Roku. I prefer Roku a little more, because it is not as locked into one ecosystem, and also because there is a usable YouTube app. I heard that YouTube will finally be coming back to the platform however. I like being able to use Alexa with the TV. The off angle image leaves a little to be desired, but overall this television is such a great bang for the buck, that I might buy another one for the den. .

So far the tv is great. Like the Alexa feature. Apps are all working good. The sound is pretty good too. The picture quality is good but not great. But I hesitate to blame the tv because I think it might be our cable.

Bought this 4K (compatible vs. full but should not be an issue) 55 inch set at a great price. Wanted the apps on the Smart set to access streaming tv. I have had Alexa in the house so that was not an issue. It may take a day or so to get use to the minimal remote and lack of direct access to stations/channels but that will not last long. And the voice command via Alexa is great. I am so pleased with it that I bought the 43 inch version to replace a CRT set inside the house on Black Friday. As to the tv itself, the picture is better than I hoped for, especially at this price point. Not Plasma or OLED quality but for under $400, it is more than acceptable. Movies and sports look great. I have my set on a lanai, which is a fairly bright room. So, a little glare/reflection but nothing I can't deal with. The picture quality out of the box was real good and I only made very minor adjustments. I like that you can adjust the different inputs as I found Bluray and Vudu movies needed some tweaking in my eye. The sound is better than some flat screens. I do plan to get a sound bar but the sound quality of the set is such that I am not rushing out to get one right away. The main menu is Amazon-based. It is not pushy and the main inputs and selected apps are the first line shown. Plenty of good apps to choose from. You do NOT need to be a Prime member to get access to lots of choices. Limitations: Not many so far that I have seen. The horizontal viewing angle is best straight on or up to 45 degrees either side. After that, the image falls off. Which is fairly standard unless you are real high end or OLED. Same with vertical viewing - if you plan to mount it on a wall above normal seating eye level, you will probably need to angle it downward. If you are a real videophile, you will likely be aiming much higher than this set. But for the money, and Best Buy has really sharpened its price-points on TV's, this is a very good purchase.

I came to Best Buy prepared to buy a different brand to replace a damaged smart tv. I wanted voice control and there were brands that showed voice but when I was going to purchase, I discovered it didn't really come ready to use but required additional hardware and purchases. Nope. I have 2 tv's in our home with Fire Sticks now so this was a great deciding factor to buy the Toshiba instead. The picture on this tv in 4k is amazing and beautiful and sharp in regular HD - sound is good but we use our Bose surround system for the best sound and mounted the tv up. Perfect system. Very easy to set up, especially if you've already had a Fire system. Added my Netflix, Hulu, a few others and our Dish on HDMI. Done. This was $100 less than the one I came to buy. Great info sales rep.

I had to replace the TV in my guest room due to user being an idiot. I replaced with the Toshiba 43" UHD FireTV I immediately loved it, as I am full blown Amazon. I then found a Toshiba 32" 720 FIreTV for a steal and added it to my kitchen (believe it or not it is one of my favorite and most used TVs). Then same idiot user had to replace living room TV, so replaced with Toshiba 55" UHD FireTV. I became a Toshiba fan about 12 or 14 years ago when my boss at the time swore by their laptops. I have bought numerous Toshiba laptops for friends and family that have lasted for years and years. That all sounding like a sales pitch let me explain specifically why I love these TVs: As mentioned I am full blown Amazon. My issue was Spectrum Cable does not support Firestick (stupidest thing I have ever heard) so I have Roku sticks on 3 of my TVs so I can get my cable. With the Fire TV I can now control things I could not control with regular TVs. 1) Bluetooth now goes through entire TV, not just through Fire Stick. So if I switch to another HDMI Bluetooth stays in tact. 2) I can switch to Roku (HDMI 1) by voice or remote, and pre-set HMDI ports via Fire remote. Without these TVs I still needed the TV remote on the coffee table to switch inputs and control volume. 3) The picture is great, or at least worthy of the price. 4) Things are uniform. The TV in my bedroom is Fire Stick only so I don't need to replace it, but I CANNOT WAIT until TV on porch dies so I can replace it with another 55" Toshiba UHD FireTV. I check prices often, looking for an excuse.

Great Smart TV for an Amazon Alexa Lover

The TV is great so far the 55 inch size at first seem small to me given most TV's these days in that 300-400 Dollar range are 50 inches plus. However I got it before black Friday at 350 so the price was unbeatable. Not to mention I am a high user of Amazon Alexa and own devices in both echos and tablets so having Alexa in my TV was a plus. The picture quality is good for the price. The color does improve if switch into dynamic mode, but prepare for eye strain. The volume is good can easily fill a bedroom or living room. The Amazon fire TV interface is pretty easy to learn and if you don't know you can simply ask Alexa for a clue. Overall happy with my purchase.

Bought 2 on sale, staff loaded them into my vehicle. Arrived home to find large cut across top of box and down the front. Definitely happened in Best Buy transport/warehouse. Opened box to see if produce was ok. Nope, clean cut went right through bezel of tv. Thank you Best Buy for not catching this (really?) and making me drive another 50 minutes back and forth for an exchange during a home PSU football game. TV is great value for sale price. Volume could be a little louder and adding apps on the fire tv could be a little easier with a search bar instead of having to scroll through menus and categories. Hopefully an update will fix this.

I bought this on 12/18/18 following some overnight research. My family TV (50” Sharp) died suddenly and, of course, you can’t be without a family TV during the holidays. This TV was a good price and had good reviews, so I took the chance. The only TV that I saw in stock was an open box model, so I put it on a cart and bought it. It only took about 15 minutes to install and so far (10 days later) it is working great. The picture and sound are great. I like the integrated Fire TV, I had a Fire stick on my old TV. For under $400 for a 55” TV, I don’t think you can go wrong.

I only was able to use this TV for about a week after I bought it because it's in our vacation property . Observation is the picture is pretty darn good and the option to stream movies is awesome. Now my rental guests can use their Netflix account to watch movies. Instead of paying for a cable, I provide sling and HBO. I can turn the TV on and off with Alexa which is pretty cool. I bought the 43 inch TV as well for the master bedroom. As others have mentioned the remote isn't the best but I just bought a refurbished Harmony Smart Remote which works perfectly

We found this at Best Buy for a great price for a 55" TV. We chose it over others that were lesser known brands with higher prices. The picture quality is great and the built-in Fire TV feature is cool. Fire TV is not too expense to add to any TV, but it is one less thing to plug in, since on this TV, it is a built-in feature. Sound quality it also good for regular TV watching. We use a sound system for movies though to add more quality sound.

It's hard to say what we like best about this TV - the price, the features, the built-in Fire TV, the clarity of the picture, the ease of set up, or the minimalist controller. I'm an old guy and not the most savvy guy when it comes to newer features and programming of the latest devices - but this was a breeze. My wife and I just love the TV. Our only complaint (and the reason we didn't give this 5 stars) is that there isn't enough volume for many of the shows we watch. We think we are going to have to add a sound bar and we really didn't want to do that.

Our previous Toshiba TV just quick working one day. It was several years old and we figured we could just purchase a new, bigger TV rather than pay for repairs, so off to Best Buy online to check out what was available. Based on reviews, we narrowed it down to a couple and then went to our local store to look at them. We really weren't looking for a TV with Fire or any other wireless connections. We watch programs on the TV, nothing else so we just wanted a TV with a good picture and sound. After looking at the different options and speaking with an associate we decided on the Toshiba - 55” Class – LED - 2160p – Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition. Yes, it was more than we were looking for, but the cost wasn't much more than those TVs without all the added options. We opted for the Geek Squad to come out and set it up. Yes, we realize it is easy to set up a new TV but figured if they did it and dropped it, or messed up the set up, it was on them. If we did it and something happened, we would be out money, so it was worth the extra we paid for them to do it. They did an awesome job. The TV works great. The colors are absolutely awesome! Watching Nascar on this TV is absolutely amazing! My hubby watches old westerns and other black & white movies and claims even the B&W movies are more defined! The only thing is my hubby thinks the sound is a bit tinny sometimes and hard to hear, and he turns it up pretty loud. But he is hard of hearing. I think it is fine. So we may get external speakers down the road. All in all, we're happy with our new Toshiba!

I picked up open box special and to my surprise it still had all the plastic protectors on it. Easy to assemble and love the Amazon Fire operation. Super clear picture only problem was it was missing the remote which did not state in the notations on open box info. Best Buy was nice enough to give me a generic remote off of the shelf but doesn't work nearly the same and have to trick it to get to functions that I'm looking for. Overall I'm happy and getting the same TV in a smaller version for the bedroom.
