    Great price, not perfect

The best thing about this TV is the price. It is undeinably affordable for a 4k HDR Smart TV. Overall, the TV is very good and I would recommend it to most, but there are a few little annoyances that prevent me from calling it perfect. Alexa - This may be a widely unpopular opinion, but Alexa is not as smart as it should be. This is just one example interaction I had with the voice remote. (While playing an episode of The Office on Netflix) Me: "Play next episode." Alexa: "What would you like me to play?" (Attempt #2) Me: "Play next episode of The Office" Alexa: "Here are the search results I found." /Shows listing of all different apps I can use to watch The Office including anything with "office" in the title. (Attempt #3) Me: "Alexa, play the next episode of The Office on Netflix" Alexa: "Ok playing The Office from Netflix" /plays episode 1 of the British version of The Office. This might not seem like a big deal, but the Google Assistant (paired with a $35 Chromecast) can handle the above perfectly. I can tell it "play next episode", "Next", "next episode", etc. And it figures it out. That is truly "smart" to me. "Smart" TV - Speaking of "Smart" one huge issue I have with this TV is that you can't stream things to it. For those who have never seen a true Smart TV before, this will be no big deal. But for the rest, the fact that you can't open up your YouTube, Netflix, hulu, etc app and stream the content to a "smart" TV connected to the same wifi is comically restrictive. Also, unlike the majority of TVs, this TV will not default to the last input that the set was on. Meaning, if you use a cable box, console, etc on this TV primarily every time you boot up you will get brought to the main screen and have to click through to get to the input. In my opinion, this is a cheap trick to try and force people to use their applications. Other minor annoyances: No native YouTube app - the fact that I have to click a YouTube icon and then click again to navigate to YouTube through a browser is a petty cheap way to get back at a rival. Doesn't play well with Harmony - This won't affect many, but for those who use Harmony hubs (like me) to control everything, this could be a deal breaker. While you can pair the TV, there is no ability to control the power. Overall this TV will do awesome for most people, but for a little more $ there are better options.

    Glitchy TV

Unfortunetly my Tv had an issue connecting to the internet but when we used an Apple TV hooked up to it, it worked perfectly with the internet. The next downfall was that every time I powered on the TV, the whole screen would glitch for 10 seconds or so. Then during playback while watching, the TV would glitch every 15 min for a Second. I believe my issues may be because I got it during Black Friday and I’m sure it may have gotten banged up during its way to the sales floor. This also my first smart TV (without using an Apple TV) and since the internet didn’t work, it was a bummer as I wanted to not use an Apple TV on a smart tv (defeats the purpose of buying a smart tv). Besides the bad I do believe if I didn’t have these issues it would be a great TV! I’m an average “watcher” so the quality is just great (when it was working for me) you do get what you pay for and if you’re thinking about buying this Tv and don’t mind a few pixels (especially during dark scenes) this will be just fine. If you want better quality color and sharpness, I’d look else where. Also hoping your Tv wouldn’t glitch and the internet connection would stay.

This TV is a great budget 4K TV. If you are looking for a TV for a home theatre setup then pass on this. Picture quality is good enough to use as a bedroom or guestroom TV. As an Android TV user this is my first experience with Fire TV and it works for my need. I really only have 2 gripes that I can live with. 1. No sleep timer to set the TV to shutoff at predetermined interval. If you are watching a streaming service and the movie or show ends then it will sleep after activity is over after a time, but if you are watching live TV it will play all night. What TV doesn't have a sleep timer? It can be worked around with a Logitech Harmony hub. 2 I would have loved to see the built in TV tuner app be able to support a network tuner like and HDHomerun to work like Live Channels in Android TV. It integrates the Amazon Channels you subscribe to in it like HBO, would like to see it also integrate TV subscribed to outside of Amazon into it also, like Showtime Anytime. The APPS I use on Android TV are available on this and work well like HDHomerun, Plex, Amazon Prime (obviously), Showtime Anytime, HBO Go, Pluto TV, ETC. So all in all is it a great TV with the best picture? No, But it is a really good budget TV to add to your home but not to replace your Main TV.

I got this on black friday weekend for $350. I expected the speakers to be horrible since most cheap tvs and even some good tvs have horrible speakers where you can't hear what people are saying. This tv does not have that problem. I can hear voices perfectly clear and they seem to be otherwise good quality. you can't really complain about quality when a tv is this cheap, so my main complaint is that Alexa's voice is too loud and there is no way to control the volume of it without lowering the overall volume. another complaint is that you can't adjust the picture settings for anything you watch through an app without going into settings and you can't look at what you are watching while adjusting the settings. 4k UHD HDR netflix streams do not appear barely HD, let alone 4k. blu-ray movies also appear pretty low quality for a tv with this resolution. I guess this is what you get with a $350 tv.

Despite running the exact same operating system (checked the OS version) as my older 4k fire TV stick (Chromecast dongle style version), when connected to the TV, streaming directly with the TV has significantly poorer picture quality when compared to streaming via a FireTV Stick on the same TV. TV has washed out colors, weak black tones, and whites have an off-white hue to them. FireTV Stick connected to the same TV, colors are vibrant, really pop, whites are brought white and blacks are very dark. Additionally where streaming on Hulu and Netflix, the TV won't stream in 4k or HDR, only YouTube and Prime. Whereas with the Fire Stick, I get 4k streams with the exact same show. I would only suggest this TV if you don't care, or your planning on using a secondary decide to stream your apps.

I bought this TV for about $369. I expected the speakers to be miserable but I can hear everything clearly though the volume does need to be over 50 sometimes. It is a good quality TV 55 inch 4k UHD TV. I can't really complain about quality when it is this cheap. My main complaint is that you can't adjust the picture settings for anything you watch through an app without going into settings and you can't look at what you are watching while adjusting the settings. The streaming services do not appear HD, and 4k blu-ray movies also appear pretty low quality for a tv with this resolution. I also have a problem with the picture focus. It appears to have a focus issue every so often, which does resolve itself in time. I did buy the 5 year geek protection so if the issue continues I can hopefully get it replaced.

I bought this TV for my grandparents and it's not as impressive as I imagined. For starters, I purchased a Sony sound bar the same night as I bought the TV. After setup, we found that we can only use the sound bar when we're watching cable TV; not for anything on Amazon Prime. I spent countless hours trying to remedy this, but have given up. If you want to listen to anything on Amazon Prime, you have to turn the cable volume down (not mute) and turn the TV volume up. Its really stupid. I believe the TV is not built for cable or satellite, rather Amazon Prime ONLY! If you are wanting a true experience of a 4K television, buy a 4K TV without the Amazon Fire built in.

I bought the TV on a black friday special and for the price I paid, it is ok, but... The blacks really are poorly displayed. The graphics in general are better on some other budget TVs. For most people this might not be a problem though, but it depends on the type of games you are playing or shows/movies you are watching. It also comes with Amazon Fire TV, and from what others say, Roku is better. I do know that I am a bit disappointed with Fire TV interface. Not bad, not great. At least it works with my Alexa Dot for a few commands. It is an average TV so I only recommend it on heavy discount when you arent too concerned about the quality of the highs and lows of graphics and color.

A nice TV and a decent value. But, the picture lacks contast and depth. Seems washed out at times. A little funky on start-up. And, working through the apps can be a bit confusing. For example, when Netflix is highlighted, and on the top row, if you hit OK, it will jump to something else. One great feature is the position of the remote sensor. It is to the far right, so it isn't blocked by a sound bar. The stand is a bit flimsy. With a few more software updates, this TV may get another star. Not sure yet if apps can be added. But, I would like to have Direct TV Now. A good TV. But, it will likely never reach 5-star status, even for the money. Would not recommend it, unless it was all you could afford. On the other hand, would not tell anyone not to buy it.

After 6 months, remote control has been working on and off...sometimes the only function it performs is to turn the TV on and off. Smart TV functions (volume control, switching to Netflix or Amazon Prime. Called Geek Squad and wasn't able to correct. No extended warranty and was advised to call Toshiba for service. Wasn't able to connect to Toshiba service. On a hunch, downloaded a Firestick TV app to cell phone and have been able to use functions as intended. Uncertain about future. Because of this issue I'm ranking low although we like this TV

The price and features almost seemed too good to be true. Purchased it, brought it home, mounted it on my wall, and was instantly disappointed. I’ve never seen such as dark pictured TV, no brightness, it was practically black. No way this thing is 4K or UHD. My 5 year old Samsung was basically the morning sun compared to this moon. I returned this item and decided to spend money on a quality product. I ended up purchasing a Samsung 65in Q8 QLED. Go look at this tv if you’re not on a budget.....UNREAL. It looks better than real life. So unless your a college student, living paycheck to paycheck, or just want to throw a cheap tv in a spare bedroom, DONT buy this TV.

The Tv resolution looked awesome in store. I got it just in time for the final season of Game of Thrones. That is a show with lots of dark scenes and you tend to really watch closely. I’ve been very disappointed with the loss of quality with the dark images. It gets very patchy. It’s a very cheap 55” tv so I guess you get what you pay for. If you care about the quality a lot then pay more and get something better

I got this tv because I wanted a larger Tv in my bedroom. Set up was fine but when I went to watch live Tv the picture wasn’t clear, it looked texturized and grainy. ONLY when I was trying to watch live TV from my cable box though. On the apps and my PlayStation the picture was awesome. I ended up taking it back and getting a different Tv and they told me that this tv is really for streamers. People that don’t watch live TV and simply want to use apps and stream. I do that but I also do my fair share of regular tv watching so this tv wasn’t for me.

What can I say. It's a 4k TV with a built in Fire TV. The 4k is lackluster. I dont know if it's the TV's processor or the content, but I turned it off. The quality of the HD more than makes up for the lack luster performance of the 4k. The TV has issues with the sound going up and down constantly, but once i turned the 4k off... no issues with the sound. So bottom line.. it's a great tv for the price. Just dont expect this to be your pride and joy unless you take pride in cheap tvs. Then in that case... this tv is for you!

The picture was somewhat unstable when I first set the tv up. Bought a new router and hooked it up to the tv with an ethernet cable. This really helped the picture. The picture is now very crisp and sharp. I bought this set because it is a Fire Edition. I am somewhat disappointed that it is basically a firetvstick. I was hoping it would have more gbs than a firetvstick to allow more flexibility. The tv was easy to set up and easy to operate. For the low price I paid for it I am overall satisfied with my purchase.

I was shocked that this TV wouldn't allow me to access my CBS all access. Apparently its' not compatible and I had to purchase an Amazon fire stick to get it to work. Now, about once a week, the audio goes into fast forward and you can't watch TV at all unless you are a master at 'speed listening". After a few hours it will sync itself back to normal again. I also bought a Polk sound bar to work with it and it doesn't work right either. I am not real happy with this TV.

Wanted a larger TV for a spare living room redeco. While this TV is larger than my decade old plasma by a few inches, this TV doesn't even compete with the plasma. Our 47" plasma smokes this 55" LED. But, maybe we'll just use this to babysit our visitors' eyes until the OLEDS come down to earth on their price. I wish they would have kept the plasmas around. Will never be a better picture. The voice control is the coolest feature this TV has going for it.

I purchased this for the quality. Unfortunately I am unable to download my Vudu to watch and now must buy another piece of equipment. I wish the store salesperson was more knowledgeable and tried to tell me all the items with this set. No one talked to me about any of the items on this. Can't these devices get it right where everything can be on one device? The picture isn't as good also as my LG was. Plus I have HD, but not all the channels are coming up with the HD>

Was a great tv to start then suddenly wouldn’t connect to internet then when it would it suddenly dropped connection constantly while streaming. Got really annoying so I called Best Buy and confirmed the issue was with the tv and not my internet. Returned it and exchanged for a different brand. Might have just been that tv but wasn’t going to chance unpacking and setting up another to deal with another issue. Happy with the new lg we got instead.

The TV is easy to use, we like the Fire TV part of it, but now have to use 2 different remotes. The sound doesn't go with the lips but I was told that was a provider problem not the TV problem. We can't for the life of us get the picture size right, we have tried every setting and the words or people are still off the edge of the screen. If I make it smaller then I am not utilizing the 55" so why have a 55" TV if it won't fill it.
