The packing was done right; gave the tv a lot of protection, unboxing, assembling the stand, and connecting to the satellite box was very simple (even came with its own av cables). The only thing I wish I would've checked for is to inquire about if it was a smart television or not. Still a great television for the money.

Absolutely perfect for the incredible price of $399

It's cheap, but if the brightness is not set to maximum or picture is not set to Dynamic, a very noticeable humming sound can be heard.

It was a great price for the tv with five year geek squad plan.

Love pic. Bit a small buzz in sound keeps me from a fobe star.

55 inch for 350. Great for football but close ups look grainy.

You have to consider the price of this TV in order to make a review or purchase. The picture quality is not the best but just enough. If you stand close to the screen you'll notice some not so sharp detail. But to be fair I always see the TV sitting from about 8-10 feet away and then I can see a much better image. And I don't like the sound. Somehow the more I move up the volume the less clarity of the voices, it seems that increasing the volume it increases only the noise and there's when the external sound bar (not included) does the job. The price was under 349 and for that price is Ok. So I only recommend this product if you are going to see the TV from more than 8 feet away, you are in a silent room or you have a sound system.

I returned this TV and bought a Samsung. The TV made a humming sound and I tried to adjust things (went on line and read suggestions from other people with the same issue) but nothing worked. I called my local Best Buy and the guy said to just return it so I did.

I was shopping for a <$400 TV for the in-laws and this came up on sale for $350. There were no reviews available anywhere at the time. I was able to look at the set in the store, which didn't look so hot. Come to find they are feeding the video over coax, so I'm sure that didn't help. Regardless, I decided to preview the TV for myself at home before passing it on to the in-laws and decided to keep it for myself and order another one up for them. I've been looking to potentially upgrade my 7 year old Samsung 46" LCD 1080p/60 Hz TV in my bedroom. Because this is a secondary TV, I wasn't that hung up on picture quality, etc, as I would be for my family room TV. In comparing it side by side to my old Samsung, the picture quality for this Toshiba wasn't bad. I think a color calibration would really help. There are picture artifacts that are exacerbated by having a larger set, as up close, I could see the same issues with my 46" for certain content (price you pay for a bigger screen at the same resolution). However, my expectations were not that high given this is a lower end set. Overall picture didn't jump out and grab me but wasn't overly terrible so I'd rate it a solid 3/5. I haven't played with all of the picture features yet, so there's probably some room for improvement (again, especially if the color is calibrated). Sound on this TV was actually pretty decent. I usually use my receiver and surround setup for audio, as the speakers on my old Samsung were absolutely terrible. The Toshiba sound could be used on it's own, 4/5. 3 HDMI on the side (which is much better than rear for wall mounted sets IMHO). Even has USB for photos or to power your Fire Stick/Chromecast/Roku and a set of component inputs for non-hdmi equipment. Overall I rate this TV a 4/5, mainly due to the incredible price point with the sale for a 55" 1080p tv ($350). Some of the other lower tier TVs (Westinghouse, etc) had worse specs in some areas at a higher price...so I was happy with this one (or make that two). If you are looking for a no frills large screen LED TV, and can tolerate a not absolutely perfect picture with decent sound, this TV is a great deal. Perfect for the bedroom, etc.

The TV's a 1080p model but for some reason it won't get 1080 on the screen's via the info menu notification telling 720p. Its not my cable either because i checked by hooking my other TV screen to it and its 1080p comes though fine with the same Cable Tv.

Good tv for the bedroom. Does it's job in the bedroom but I wouldn't put this in my living room to watch sports. Speakers aren't bad. If you don't mind, you won't need a soundbar.

This is not a quality item... This tv does not give a good picture at all. It give the picture of one of those old floor model Tvs. Spend a bit more for quality... "Buy nice so you don't buy twice.." You aren't sparing a dime on this purchase.
