Amazing TV, Better than expected!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV for my living room and basement. I am so surprised on how great the picture looks! This TV has a very thin housing and the trim around the screen is slim as well. The sound for a TV is not bad either. The only thing I was hesitant about was the 60 Hz but this isn't an issue with this TV and looks good and I game a lot too.

Awful picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Store did not have the TV on display for the customer to view the quality of the picture.. I guess the store new it was so bad that did not want to take the chance and show it to the customer because the TV wouldn't be able to sell

Very happy with the tv!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When the tv is on, you can hear a humming sound coming from the back, read some sites where if you adjust the back light to a 100% it went away, I did it at 98% and it was gone. Overall, very happy with my purchase, picture quality is awesome, once you adjust the settings.

Worst TV ever, don't buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was happy to see the price. Picture quality extremely bad. Reaction delay is very obvious. If you like the price then you better accept nothing is perfect in this world. Returned right away!!!!!!!!

What a deal if your not expecting too much
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, I haven't got the buzzing that many of the people reviewing this have complained about. For gaming the picture is great. For cable @ 1080 the well lit scenes look good, but dark scenes are very grainy and just bad. A viewing angle of anything over 45 degrees, color performance really goes down hill. Overall, if you watch it from 12 feet away, or more, this set is worth every penny.

Wonderful User Friendly TV!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy assembly and setup! Simple and uncomplicated to use. Beautiful picture! Sound quality is adequate. Absolute great value for the money spent! If you just need a plain vanilla non-smart tv in a 55 inch size, you can't beat this set when it is selling at an attractive price!

Great non-smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this TV on sale at a local Best Buy. Here are the positive, neutral, and negative observations. +++Picture is great for movies and gaming (PS4) +++No Ghosting or problems with refresh rate for console gaming; The refresh rate is 60Hz which is plenty for PS4. I haven't hooked up my computer to the TV yet, so it remains to be seen how the display looks on >60fps input +++Cheaper price compared to most smart TVs. As we have a PS4, we have no need for smart TV functionality +++Big quality picture for the price ~~~3 HDMI ports: that's enough for us, but maybe not enough for other users --- Not quite as energy efficient as other newer models --- Sound quality isn't amazing but certainly enough for our needs --- USB port only works for pictures, not videos In summation, this is a great non-smart TV for the price.

Very nice TV, great picture and sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was a breeze to set up and looks great. I was very impressed with the picture and the sound is pretty good without a surround sound system. The feet went on really easily and it looks great. Very happy with this purchase, a real bargain. We have a new 70" Vizio and this TV looks almost as nice, for a fraction of the price.

Great Product for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a great TV for $350 price that I purchased for. If you are hearing a humming noise - get it back to best buy and they whil get you a replacement. Some people are more annoyed that others by this - my opinion- its ok. Not worth it with its regular $550 price tag - but for $350 buck, its bang for the buck. Oh yeah and the sound quality is better that most of the other TVs that I have seen. Great buy. Great price

Great LED HDTV for a great price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this Toshiba 55" LED HDTV on sale for $350- it was one of the best deals I've ever gotten! Great picture, awesome size for the price! Only has 1 set of composite in, 3 HDMI, 1 coax in, no AVI, VGA or DVI- not a big deal if you are using the latest input devices w HDMI.

Toshiba 55 inch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Toshiba is by far the best bang for the buck. We needed an extra tv for a game room and this tv does not disappoint. The picture quality is amazing! We had bought a Sceptre brand tv from another store and it had a terrible picture. We took it back for a refund and went to Best Buy. Am I glad we did. Can't say enough good things about this Toshiba. It has nearly as good a picture as our Sony 4k television that cost 8 times as much. Highly recommend!

Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this TV for the past week and I am happy with it's performance and all this for $350! TV works great, I have no buzzing and speakers sound good to me. I do have a Vizio sound bar but don't feel the need to use it . I bought this for a second home and did not feel like bringing my older Vizio 55" and risk breaking iit on the 1000 mile ride. This TV fit my needs perfectly and you can't go wrong with this TV especially for the price. I see names I have never heard of going for a higher price on sale!

Not bad....for the price I paid.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I paid anymore than $350, I would've given this review 3 stars. For the value, it's a good tv. Sound was louder than the other reviews indicate. The out of the box picture settings are HORRIBLE. if you don't want to fiddle with the settings, just switch to movie mode. The picture itself was okay. I own a 42 LG 1080p LCD and the picture is superior. As for the humming sound everyone is talking about, I have no such issue. Maybe I'm the lucky one.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid 55" TV. With minor adjustments you will get a great picture. No soap opera effect tho. I love the soap opera effect as its a great way to show off and enjoy your TV. Overall for a budget TV you can't beat the picture and size for the cost.

Great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV. The colors are rich, picture is clear. Not using a bar and the sound is good, not distorted and don't have to turn it very high to hear. The 3 HDMI is fantastic.

Great TV for the price, but HDMI is a must
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture was initially sub-par with waaay too much motion blur, but a quick trip back to Best Buy for an HDMI cable solved that problem. Then discovered our PRISM (CenturyLink) remote refused to allow itself to be programmed to work with the set. Problem not yet resolved and we're hassling with two remotes while alternately cursing both Hitachi and PRISM. Tiny fingers required to use TV remote. They aren't included. But it still gets five stars. Picture is great. Audio is better than expected when a sound system isn't being used. Delivery was on time and as promised two days later. We COULD have taken it then and there, but Best Buy said it couldn't haul away the Toyota-sized old set unless we let them deliver and set up the new set. Or we paid an additional $100. For the privilege of delivering our own TV. In our own car. To our own house. Go figure. Nobody at Best Buy could. We'd buy it again if we catch it on sale.

Realistic Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a good picture quality and decent sound. If you expect great sound from a flat screen, you don't know electronics. Get a sound bar. The TV was only $350. If you want it to be a 4k with 240 hz then keep dreaming. It's a $350 55 inch tv. It does the job quite well. I hope to find some calibration settings on the internet to maximize my viewing experience!

Great Low Tech TV!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not want a super expensive smart TV or need a 4K ultra. What I did want was a name brand 55" w/ at least 3 HDMI ports and a headphone jack. The headphone jack was especially important to me because it is the easiest way to connect my speakers and be able to control the volume with the TV remote. I cannot stand Optical/digital ports because you cannot use the volume control on the TV remote and it would require me to buy new speakers with their own remote. So anyway this TV fit the bill of all the features I wanted. The picture is good enough but not the best I've seen but still good enough to be satisfied. Once I hooked up my speakers the sound is theater quality and the menu options are easy to navigate and change. So over all I am happy with this TV and for the price it is very nice!
