The experience purchasing this TV was excellent, I was in the store about 10 minutes. It is a good size for my 12x24 family room, and I was surprised the sound was more than acceptable. I listened for the hum some are experiencing, but mine does not hum at all, at least not yet. Easy to unpack, and set up. MUCH lighter than the LG 50" Plasma it replaced. The picture is bright, and sharp, I really don't see how anyone can complain about this TV, especially at $349 ! There are enough adjustments for picture and sound to make anyone happy. If it lasts, I could not be any happier with this purchase.

I didn't think that I would get a humming TV since there were only a few of these comments, but sure enough, waited several hours on Black Friday to purchase the TV and there was a humming sound directly out of the package. It sounds like the humming you get from a bad fluorescent light. This is a garage TV and I will be using it to play loud video games and run on a treadmill. As long as there is some sound, it is not noticeable. The second a game is paused, the humming is noticeable. I would NOT recommend this TV if you are going to have it as your main TV. I have a Samsung 65 inch that I bought 2 years ago on Cyber Monday from Best Buy that works perfectly for that. I will recommend this for anyone that does not mind a very mild noise. It is quiet enough to not notice it when there is sound. I am still debating returning it. I have owned TVs and Monitors from the following manufacturers and this is the first humming TV. They were plasmas, fluorescent back light, DLP, and LED back light: 2 Mitsubishis, many LGs, many Vizios, 1 Samsung, 2 Sonys, 2 Panasonics, 2 Pioneer, 1 HP, 5 Dells. This is my first Toshiba. If this is, in-fact, a MFG defect and I can replace it for another new one, I will give the TV 5 stars because everything else about it is good.

I can not believe that I got this tv for $349. It is amazing, and for the price, you cannot beat it! Best purchase I made in a LONG time! Highly recommend this purchase. It's a great buy!

I've had this TV for a month now and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It's big, it has a great picture, setup was easy, picture was great out of the box, I played around with the settings but ended up pretty close to the factory settings. Sound is not loud enough for me, but my hearing is not great, and I have a surround sound system to make up for it. I'm sure there are better TVs out there, but not for the price of this one (Black Friday pricing, $350). It would be a good TV at regular price, too, but at this price it's awesome.

I was, like many other members, looking for a great deal on a new TV. I saw this TV advertised for 349.99 and jumped on it because the other TV's seemed "cheap" by the reviews. I've had this TV less than 24 hours but so far it has been a true winner for the money. This TV is not a "smart" TV but with all the hardware to broadcast media through your TV, this is the better option. I couldn't be happier as of now!

This is a great tv. I replaced a 40 inch tv with this 55 inch television. The picture is great. I'll admit when I took it out if the box the picture wasn't great but after a couple hours of it being on, the picture sharpened up. It is a non smart tv, but my xbox makes up for that fact, and I probably enjoy my xbox over preloaded apps.

For a second tv or for someone not looking to spend over $1000 on a tv. You can't beat it. Does it have minor issues and lack lots of user preferences? Yep. Is it still a no brainier buy? Yep. It's a 55 inch LED with good picture and sound, no more.

First off I purchased this tv during Black Friday. I researched all the ads and saw all the other shoppers buying up the no brand tv's that best buy was trying to push out the door. My Toshiba is the best by far, great picture and the sound is no problem for I have a Bose surround sound system and receiver. I also see the price jumped up I payed 349.00 for my 55" but the price is still worth it.

Picture and sound are great. Very slim bezel, looks great on the wall. Couldn't beat the $349 price either. I know its not smart but that's easy to avoid with our ps4 or apple tv.

Think the color should be better,maybe with a little adjusting.

I bought this TV during the PreBlack Friday deals for $349. Picture quality is great and so is the sound. I to had the annoying humming noise. In order to fix simply change the picture settings from standard to dynamic and it's gone!

I purchased this TV on sale and I love it. It is a great value for the price. It looks beautiful, great picture and good sound. It stores both digital and analog channels on the cable setting. I used best buy home delivery and it was great, no problems. It was delivered on time and they took away my old TV. Excellent experience.

I bought this tv during the pre black Friday deals like most people did and l do agree that it's a great value for the price. The picture is crisp, the sound is acceptable if you adjust the bass and treble a little bit. Not a smart tv but I believe smart tv's are over rated with all the other options out there. I would definitely recommend this deal to anyone looking for a cheap but quality upgrade.

The picture quality of this TV is very nice out of the box. Sound is crystal clear, no hum on mine. Easy setup with simple remote. Didn't need a smart TV as I use Chromecast and XB1. I was considering this set at the regular price. Even better when it went on sale.

I was hesitant about this deal because it was so good but I'm so glad I took advantage of this while it was on pre-BF sale. It was the best price I've ever seen and this TV is amazing! The picture is so clear, I don't hear the hum people report, and I think the sound is good for a flatscreen. It definitely beats the sound my last LG television had. May get a soundbar anyhow. I love this TV!!

Top quality tv. Excellent picture & sound. You want go wrong with this one. Better picture quality than my older LG & Sanyo TV's. Watch you setup on signal input. Make sure select input choice on the remote and then what you are using, It does not tell you that on the startup screen, the default choice was wrong for me. It will work on Comcast cable remote with code no. 10156 entered on Comcast's cable remote to control the power, change channels & volume control. Got it hooked also to my old vhs/dvd player, but have not tried it, yet. I am confident it will work on this tv I gave it 4 stars and would have gave it 5, except for the setup minor issue which was resolved.

Purchased yesterday for $350. Picture is great in Dynamic mode only (which is the best and only mode you will ever use) hums like no other if in any other picture modes. The default setting is Standard. Sound quality is very good in Standard sound setting. I would return the TV if the humming did not go away, luckily Dynamic mode has no humming at all. Thank you Best Buy for the amazing deal!!!

This is a fantastic t.v., stunning picture and great sound. The body is extremely light just about 45 pounds not to sure of the exact weight. Now I will tell you we have a 70'' 4k as our main t.v and I cant tell the difference when watching a blue ray on either one both look super clear and beautiful.

Bought this for a bedroom and could not pass up the price for a 50" LCD TV. Picture and sound seem good. I did not notice the hum others have had. The one drawback I discovered is when I hooked up a PC to the TV. All of the edges were cut off so I could not see my tool bar or anything on the edge of the screen. I did some searching to find a solution and most everything I found said to make adjustments to the TV but this TV has no such adjustments. There is menu for it but there ia only one option that cannot be changed. Otherwise I think I got my money's worth and then some.

I would buy this TV again. Clear picture and volume you don't have turned on very high. For that price $350 you can't go wrong.
