I'm very happy with this purchase it was on a black Friday deal for my mom & she love this T.V. so far I'm impressed with the colors on this t.v. it looks great on her living room which is mid sized & the space & distance is perfect !!

I bought the TV 55 inch after black Friday and the picture is blurry and now we're changing out the cable box to see if it'll show better but if not then I'm returning the TV

TV was defective out of the box. As soon as I turned it on after setting it up, there was a loud, annoying humming. Checked online forums and apparently this is a common problem with this model. Previous Toshiba models have also had this problem. I read a "quick fix" was to turn the backlight setting all the way up. This quieted the humming sound buy did not eliminate it. As other reviewers have stated, the noise gets louder as the screen gets "whiter". I returned it without a hassle.

Great tv for the price. No issues or annoying sounds and i have tweaked and played with the settings. I have not used the speakers because i have it hooked up to surround sound.

Toshiba got pretty good reviews on here. THey were selling this for $350. THe other Best Buy had it for $100 more. IT looked BEAUTIFUL in the store. VIbrant and clear. I get it home, hook it up and the picture is terrible. Thought maybe cause it was the antenna (but the old samsung didnt look bad). Tried Hulu - picture was even worse. Grainy and digital. Tried Netflix and watched PLanet Earth - terrible. The picture is washed out, fuzzy, grainy. I thought maybe it might be the video quality so I made sure everything was set to 1080p on what I was veiwing. I adjusted all the controls and settings and no matter what I do, cant get it to look right. Things are washed out, neon colors are blurry, things in the background look out of focus and lack detail. IT almost looks like you tube on a bad connection. I would NOT suggest this TV. Returning Tuesday after the ice storms have cleared.

Got this tv about a month ago. Hard to pass up a 55" for $350! I am disappointed with the picture quality however. My samsung 720p plasma looks far supperior. Great tv for gaming which I use it for the most. Blurays look very average at that and cable as well. I would recommend this tv at that price only.

Best buy sells this tv at a good price for the size. However, the quality of the TV seems to be the reason why it is so cheap. 1) Not the best picture quality I used suggested picture settings, and the picture is still sub par. Background is fuzzy, looks like some the pixels are hazy, The motion of the picture us not the smoothest. But in short, more blurry than my LG 55 incher that I own. 2) Sound is very flat, bad quality The speakers are very low grade, and you do not hear much range of sound when it comes to voices and some music. Definitely below average sound, worse than the sound I have heard in my other TVs. Buy this TV if you need a budget TV for college or an office or bar. I would not buy it for home, especially since TVs have such a long shelf life. Wait for a sale on a better brand such as Vizio, Samsung, or Sharp.

This tv is wonderful, I live in a small apartment and the sound is fantastic most of the time I can keep it below 10. Some movies the volume has to be 20 or a bit louder. All in all I am loving my purchase.

This is not a "smart" TV, and it does not have as many inputs as I would like (I had to buy a separate VGA to HDMI converter) but for the price it has an excellent picture and sound quality. The feet were a little awkward to attach but it wasn't much of a big deal. I would choose this TV again.

The price is reflected in the quality. I bought this TV for $479 and then it went on sale for $379 so I got Best Buy to match the sale price. Good deal right? Wrong, when I finally unboxed and plugged in the TV on Christmas Eve right away we noticed a terrible humming sound. I had glanced at the reviews before I bought it and noticed the high score but didn't read very many actual reviews. What I found out later was that some of the reviews did mention the humming noise. I also didn't care much for the picture on this TV. I am much happier with the Samsung TV I traded it for.

It's a Toshiba, they've been around for s long time for a reason. Budget minded, good purchase.

I bought it on sale and am really happy with the TV. I has good picture quality and no discernable issues watching sports like hockey and basketball even with just a 60Hz refresh rate;.

Got this TV yesterday. The picture is ok and setup was easy. However, the tv emits a loud humming noise anytime it is on. No settings will fix it. Doesn't matter what source is used. The hum is loud and distracting and not worth the trouble.

This TV has a really clear picture but the buzzing noise that came from the power transformer was too much noise for me. Best Buy was a really great exchanging it out for an Insignia that is perfect.

Purchased 12/10/15. First one that we picked up had an extremely loud buzz from the power supply (not speaker related). Exchanged. Second TV was tested at BB by Geeksquad. They said it had no buzz. Got it home and buzzed similar to first TV but significantly quieter. Exchanged. Third TV actually worked. Happy so far after 3 days but questioning how long the TV will last. Otherwise looks great.

Bought one of these as a monitor for our office to show work schedules. For the cost the screen has great color, I liked it so much I upgraded my 46 in my man cave.

The features of this particular TV compared to the cost is what made it a great value. The picture quality is fantastic and the features of the TV were exactly what I needed.

Having bought 2 Toshiba laptops in the past, I should have known not to buy this TV, but I figured that Toshiba would have figured out how to build a successful TV by now.......WRONG! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A TOSHIBA PRODUCT!! Toshiba, for some reason or another, are idiots when it comes to sound quality. Both Toshiba laptops that I bought in the past have TERRIBLE sound quality and this TV is the same...WORST SOUND QUALITY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED WITH A TV!! I'm not sure what the idiots at Toshiba are doing, but they just cannot figure out the sound aspect of their products. I'm definitely taking this product back!
