Bought this TV over the Christmas Holidays for $299.00, I thought for the price it was worth a shot... if it goes out in a year, it won't be a total loss... the store associate told me it was not very well rated, but so far I have no complaints.... it has worked flawlessly and the picture is great... the Google Cast app is also very neat... this is my first TV that had anything like that, and I have found several sites to watch a lot of good movies from... I can cast from my phone or my laptop... work great

Pros: * Price per Size * Cons: * Colors aren't the best. Wish it gave more control. *Remote doesn't have a number pad on it. it Resembles more of how Roku remotes look with very few buttons * NO control on manually setting the ethernet configuration * From my experience out of the box... the built in chromecast just wasn't as robust as my external chromecast. Had connection issues. If trying to use the tv using over-the-air signals, will need an antenna to receive those channels. My previous TV was able to us the cable that goes into the wall as an antenna and pick up a good amount of channels. Upon setting up this tv and trying to do the same, it came up with 0 channels found. After putting on a powered antenna it then found channels. So overall, I would easily recommend this tv for anyone that isn't looking for a lot of features and are not super critical of colors. Add a Roku or streaming box and it will be great for Kids tv or bedroom tv.

I use this tv mostly for streaming movies, Netflix, amazon video. It isn't 4k, but I don't really need 4k. I play playstation 4 and xbox 360 on it, and everything looks great. I wish it had a built in antenna, but it isn't that big of a deal. The definition is great, my couch sits between 15 and 20 feet from the tv, and it is fantastic. I got this on sale for around $300. Couldn't beat the price.

I picked up three (3) of these on sale for $299 each. Two of them were purchased in order to raffle them off for a charity fundraiser. I guess the old adage "you get what you pay for," is true. The picture is decent and the addition of chromecast is nice considering we use chromecast quite a bit. The big challenge I have is that the lighting appears uneven at times on the screen. But $318 for a 55" HDTV is hard to beat.

I got this 55" Toshiba TV for $300, and didn't need to campout on Black Friday to get this great price. It isn't a 4K display, but the picture is very good, the reception through my attic antenna is good, and the sound is acceptable. The only bad part is the near useless remote, but I was able to buy an aftermarket remote for about $10 that does everything I need. Overall, a great value!

I bought this tv with very little research. I've owned a Toshiba TV in the past and was very happy with it. So I took a chance with this one. The price was so amazing how could you not buy it $299. It arrived to my door with free shipping opened the box plugged it in and WOW what a picture! I am very happy with this tv. It has built in chrome cast, decent audio though I hooked it up to a stereo. I would recommend this brand and this specific model to anyone.

I don't think anyone is going to look at buying this tv and expect the best picture quality available. But, for the price it is a pretty good tv. I think we got it on sale for around $300. Not bad for a FHD tv with built in Chromecast. It was by far the cheapest smart tv available. Chromecast opens up possibilities with this tv. I would recommend it for someone looking for a big tv on a budget.

Having Chromecast built in is handy. The picture is quite clear for being such a bargain price. I bought it when it was a daily special. The reduced price in the Best Buy weekly ads was $379, down from $459 or something like that, but for that day, the price was $299. There were 9 units left on the floor. When I came back the next day to buy a dvd I forgot, all 9 remaining units were GONE.

I was a little afraid to purchase the TV but so far it is great. The picture quality is nice and the Chrome cast works great with my phone. the volume on the TV is amazing I only need to turn it up to 5 and I can hear it in my other rooms volume can get much louder then that but you won't need a sound bar for the TV. No issues thus far, and the price was nice as well.

I bought this TV while it was on sale at my local Best Buy and I absolutely love it! It's very simple to set up and I love being able to use my phone as a remote! My only complaint is that when I use my phone as a remote, it will lower/ raise the volume in increments of 6. I'm sure there's a setting that could change this but overall the TV has great picture quality!

Purchased this 55 inch TV primarily because of the price. Only paid $299 on sale during Presidents' Day. I was primarily looking for bang for the buck, and this TV certainly met that need. I was looking for TV for my living room to replace a 32 inches Samsung. I did not care about the latest technology, so far I am very happy with the quality and performance of the TV. I had no problems and it is working great.

Great built-in Chromecast. Good picture and quality for the price!

I love the TV, the size, the colors, the sharpness, all of that is great. I do not like this Google Cast stuff, every time you turn the TV on it goes right there and then you have to go to input and switch to your cable link. I do not need Google Cast as I have a Apple TV to watch Netflix so it is annoying. I read the reviews on the TV before I bought and one person said the same thing, but I thought maybe I could bypass somehow, but no way.

With out hesitation I purchased this Toshiba 55' chromecast. The picture quality and colors are just stunning. Take note there is no drag time in the refresh rate watching sports! This unit is in my opinion better than the equivlant Samsung unit and by far better than the LG unit. Make sure when you turn on the unit for the first time you set up the Chromecast to your internet, the procedure is very simple, this way when you turn off the unit, the chromecast set up page won't appear the next time you turn on the set, it will just turn on to your last watched channel.

Got this as a Deal of the Day buy. Awesome that it has ChromeCast built into it, although most of the time I use the Fire Stick to watch. The only down side is that sometimes it the screen blacks out for no reason and I have to unplug it to turn it back on.

tvTv sound and image blew me away. Distance from the wall makes a difference in sound quality, I used a tv stand with floating mount to be able to move it around while I cook. It's super light in weight and the picture is so life like. Please use a high-grade HDMI cable with this tv, it will last longer and won't distort over time with cheap eBay cables. I will be getting one for my bedroom soon.

Great tv, picture, sound, etc for the money. Only complaint is the remote control has no number pad. My dad likes his 3 channels, so we had to buy another remote so he didn't have to scroll through all the channels to get where he's going. And remotes aren't easy to program, so I had to set it up for him. Overall a good purchase.

I'm not very technologically savvy but the TV was easy to set up. It was my first experience with Chromecast and it is simple to play things off of Netflix. I'm having trouble figuring out if It is compatible with my Amazon prime videos but as I said I'm not very tech savvy so this could be me! Good picture and sound quality!

East to set up. Easy to use chrome cast. Nice picture.
