I purchased this tv in November of 2020. Today the display went out. This tv worked great for just over 3 years. For theborice, it can't be beat.

I love my Toshiba 55 inch TV. The picture is so clear.

I absolutely love everything about this tv. One of the best I've purchsed.

Tv worked great had for 3 years had a power outage, when power was restored the back light stopped working

TV was working fine, I paused the program, it went to “sleep” and the picture never came back. Took over an hour to get through to support, it’s out of warranty so a technician would cost money. Owned it for a year and a half after having a Vizio for 12 years. Going back to Vizio and never buying Toshiba again.

This was below average but it was okay for the price at the time I bought it in 2021. It just went out on me (backlight), so it only lasted 3 years and 4 months. Really bad. My 42” Vizio, the one I replaced to get a bigger tv (this Toshiba), still has not messed up at all and I bought that in 2012. The picture quality was fair but it did horrible during dark scenes. Not sure how the sound was as I used a sound bar. It would have green streaks at random times also. Not sure why. Overall this tv is below average and I wouldn’t recommend.

It was a great purchase until the mother board went out after 2 months. Thank god I had the warranty. Got it replaced works great but now it’s going out again and now it’s out if warranty.

This fire tv is awesome! Picture is clear and the features are great.

He loves his TV. We came home and he hung on walll immediately!!

After 3 years the LED backlighting failed leaving us with sound but no picture

June 2024 - the backlight has gone out on this tv May 2021 - purchased

2 years is how long this tv lasted. As others have said all of sudden vertical lines appeared and the tv was done. A big waste of money for junk, After researching brands we went with a Samsung. Had I looked into it at the time I would never have bought a tv that was manufactured in China. Never again Toshiba

Great an expensive TV with a good picture. The problems begin if you are predominant streaming household. There is not enough memory built into this television to be a long-term solution. I've had mine for about a year and it's almost impossible to watch anything now because it constantly tries to get you to remove applications to free up space. Of course when you go to buy it they are not going to tell you how much memory is on board.

Short life span had it 4 years and just went out! Red screen with lines. Also it’s runs out of storage quickly.

Unless you want a TV that only works for a year I do not recommend this one as of today mine no longer works has to be updated constantly randomly shuts off when you're watching something thing is a piece of

Didn't last 1 year, stay away, second toshiba from Best buy to be exchanged under protection plan in less than 2 years, this is coming from a Toshiba customer who had a Toshiba TV from 2007 to 2022 and thrown out after storing and cracking due to no protection it which this TV replaced 2007 TV was still working when stored in 2020 however backlight was starting to fail, replaced for a third time with an insignia

This TV keeps freezing up and I have to continuously unplug so it can reboot. Problem is it's in my bedroom so I have to get up out of bed to do this, very frustrating. It's not just every once in a while either, it's several times a week. I will never buy another Toshiba Fire TV.

I bought this a year and a half ago, September 2022 and leaving this review April 2024. The TV went completely black, can still hear sound but nothing else is working. When I called Toshiba they said they won't help, but if you look at reviews this is an ongoing issue with these Toshiba TVs. I would never buy again. It was great though for that year.
