This Toshiba 75" TV offers a decent picture quality for the price. Colors are vibrant, and the 4K resolution provides a sharp image. The Fire TV interface is user-friendly and integrates well with other Alexa-enabled devices.
However, I experienced some minor drawbacks. The viewing angles could be better, as the picture quality degrades slightly when viewed from the sides. Additionally, the motion handling could be improved, especially with fast-moving action scenes.
Overall, this TV is a good value for the price, but potential buyers should be aware of these minor limitations.

This TV IS 120Hz!

Right off the bat, I want to attempt to clarify the 120Hz debacle that is occurring. This TV IS INDEED a NATIVE 120Hz display television. What people say about the HDMI input(s) not supporting 120Hz is true. But all that means is that the TV itself does the conversion of EVERYTHING (including the HDMI input(s)) that gets displayed on the screen, to 120Hz. And as such, the TV has such an incredibly clean, colorful, and smoothest motion that I have seen on a TV in this price range. Maybe a future update can enable 120Hz over HDMI, but I doubt it is on the front burner.
The only valid complaint that I can confirm, is the sound/no picture when going to an app after using HDMI. The easy workaround is to change the user and change back. VOILA!, sound and picture again! I am hopeful a future update will fix this anomaly.
I love having antenna TV and FireTV on the same screen. Makes switching fast and easy. The audio via eARC sounds as good as it can and controls my Denon AVR too! My only dislike is that volume control is in steps, and not fluid and smooth. Playing around with the delay times in the TV settings, to see if that helps any.
The built-in Alexa controls the TV's basic functions very fluidly. No issues. And it hears incredibly well, even while watching a movie/program.
The TV is incredibly bright, with retina melting capabilities (I'm being facetious) so be prepared! The TV is bright enough that reflections are a non-issue. The color gamut is magnificent and the full-array back-lighting helps to get me involved with the program. I haven't seen any gray where it should be black, yet. And I don't expect to.
I strongly recommend this set as the feature-to-price point is unmatched, at the current sale price, with any other set. You will easily spend $400 more on a competitor to get the same functions and features this set has. The 75" M550 is easily a flagship-class television in my honest opinion. I replaced a wonderful 73" Mitsubishi 120Hz TV that had nothing wrong with it (the Super Bowl looked insanely awesome), and I have no buyer's remorse. We're looking forward to the Super Bowl this year!

Synapsis: Okay movies. Above average gaming E.G. COD B.O.IV., Super monitor. Below average Human Action live type tv. E.G. Kaloopy & Baseball. EXCELLENT VALUE!
At $850.00 all in, this tv performs above expectations.
Remote control.
The remote will operate other fire tv's (I have 2 a room apart) but it is not an issue. if the tv's were in the same room side by side it would be. The remote also doesnt interfere with my VIZIO sitting side by side and vice versa This is great.
ALEXA
The Alexa is built into the tv itself and no remote is needed, that is very cool.
From the kitchen: Hey Alexa. Tell me what a chicken is. She just spouted off a 30 second verbal explanation of what a chicken is right out of the tv no remote needed.
Bluetooth also for my soundbar is a win.
if youre frugal and looking to get a big tv get this one at $ 850.00 ALL IN price range you can't lose.
The only problem i have with this TV is blurring. At $ 850.00 all in i can live with that.
The next TV option im looking at is the TCL 648 @ 2750.00 8K@60hz, No blurring & HDMI 2.1
That said.
My savings is enough to splurge and im not sure if after being broke so long that an extra 2000.00 is excessive to get what this tv lacks.
Great Tv at the price. Wish i could manipulate the blur (only an issue with Baseball and Kaloopy so far.) Movie background characters are blurry faces but its only $850.00. The only negative for me is Kaloopy it really messes with Kaloopy and that's my favorite channel. its only $850.00. I have racks in the bank i could live with the blur but do i want to when i have the money or is it wasteful and excessive? If i was putting this up in a sports bar NO NO NO. Football parties NO NO NO. At home gaming, working on my pc and an occasional movie Its an $ 850.00 ULTIMATE BARGAIN!!!!

After looking at TV's that cost much more we chose the Toshiba and are very happy with our choice. The picture is bright enough for our Southwest facing living room and the picture looks every bit as good as the expensive brands. Viewing angle is also very good. The specs are very good at 120 refresh rate and full array local dimming. Sound is good but we use a sound bar anyway. There are two spacings for the stand so it could be used on a narrow tv stand. Total tech delivered and got everything working right away.

I got this on sale for $700 so if you find it at that price you should jump all over it. Picture quality is nice and the 120hz refresh rate is awesome for $700. Is it the best tv I’ve seen, no. Even at the regular price ($1400)id say it’s a decent tv too. The Alexa built in really means it’s a fire tv stick with a monitor attached. Amazons interface pretty much takes over the whole thing. It does have other inputs which I do use. Your standard smart tv features seem to be just taken out and replaced with fire tv. So basically a dumb tv with a fire tv stick plugged into it. I’m ok with it since I already had been using amazons system for a few years. Just not sure how it’s gonna work with my home theater receiver as I wasn’t overly impressed with the arc audio technology yet. I plugged the firetv stick into the receiver and used the pads thru feature. Much more user friendly I thought but now I’ll need to use arc. Maybe I just need a newer receiver now lol. Wife should love that one. Better to ask for forgiveness right. Anyway it’s a pretty awesome tv especially for the $700 I paid. I’m sure there’s a lot of features and options I’m missing out on too. I’d recommend for sure if your looking for a 75” tv unless you don’t like Amazon fire tv. Even the remote is amazons and yes it has the voice control which I like. Rambling on here. Jumbled thoughts delivered. Enjoy your new tv

Great TV, but can't disable automatic sleep

We love this TV. It's picture rivals my Sony 80" at over twice the price.
The FireTV aspect is great and my wife really likes it, but one thing we DO NOT LIKE is the sleep feature - the TV shuts off after 15-20 minutes (I haven't timed it), and there is apparently no way to shut it off without connecting to it via ADB, possibly requiring a jailbreak. This is going to be beyond most user's capability.
It has a screen saver that shows your Amazon photos and we love this, which is why we want the automatic sleep disabled. Like most everyone, we have a lot of pictures and 20 minutes doesn't cut it. Also, when it goes to sleep and you wake it back up, it's no longer on what you were watching when it slept, so you have to schlep back to the app and program to resume.
It's ridiculous that Amazon/Toshiba, whoever thinks they know better than us what our needs and wants are. I'm deducting one star for this reason alone.
The TV is thin, has enough inputs, and is lightweight for being a 75" TV. I continue to be amazed at how light these LEDs are, especially since I remember the 'old days' of Sony Trinitron tubes that were 30 and weighed like 80 lbs! You kids don't know how good you have it.
It's plenty bright and the sounds is good for us - it's in our bedroom about 10 feet away - I don't need booming bass or loud sound. I got over that years ago (except in cars, where bass is still great!).
Toshiba/Amazon LET US DISABLE SLEEP MODE!

After over a month of use I’m very pleased with this TV. Picture quality is excellent to my eyes. And I’m not using the usual disclaimer of excellent “for the price”… my only issue is that the FireTV interface is too sluggish for my liking so I’m using my Apple TV 4K instead via the HDMI eArC port. I was worried about the lack of professional reviews on this model, but glad I gave it a shot anyway. I think the issues with the previous generation model probably kept most of the professional outlets from reviewing this new model. Even though I’m running it through a nice Denon AV receiver, the quality from the built in speakers was impressive! Probably the best sounding TV speakers I’ve heard since the 90’s. I don’t know how they did it, but they crammed some kinda speaker magic in this thing.

Awesome tv for the price complete with full array local dimming and better quality speakers than the average tv. Only reason it isn’t a 5 star is due to a small amount of blurriness on really fast moving scenes but barely noticeable. I wish they made this tv in 85”

Very nice 4k picture. Fire tv is an easy operating system. All major apps available. Read the reviews, the only complaint people seem to have is that there is no 2.1 hdmi. Simply put - no 120htz external gaming. Other then that buy it when it’s on sale.

I had the 350. The 550 has a lot better picture. This is a great buy for the price. The fireTV remotes aren't the best. Hence the 4 stars. I have multiple TVs with this remote and they all have spotty performance.

Gaming with the series X on this tv is great, works well with my Vizio sound bar. Picture quality is as good as 4k at 75” can be. The 120hz isn’t supported over hdmi… yet. Menus are extremely responsive. Would recommend.

Took 3 attempts before I had a working TV. 1st time, no one showed up, despite me calling that day to make sure they were on the way. The next day when I called I was told that it was damaged so they didn't bother. 2nd time, tv has no remote, cables, instructions or hardware for the stand. 3rd time's a charm!
Great picture - sound is better than expected, but I still connected up some external speakers.
Alexa works very well, user interface is much better and quicker than Samsung. Overall pleased with this purchase, great value if you can get it discounted.

First off, this tv has a nice picture. Other than that.... this TV has problems. When using the apps in the tv, motion is bad.... really bad. It is super glitchy and honestly hard to watch if there is any real movement (sports). I am currently using a roku stick in the HDMI port but that doesn't always work. Every fifth time or so, a black screen loads with the HDMI 1 logo in the borrom right corner. the only7 way around it is to power down and unplug the tv which is super annoying. I've called Toshiba (which is really Hisense, this is a Hisense tv) and twice they've pushed me to Amazon support. Hisense says Amazon owns the software and it is a software issue. Amazon says this is a hardware issue and Toshiba (Hisense) should exchange the tv. I strongly urge anyone considering this tv to find something else. Ultimately, we had two Hisense TVs before this one and the last only lasted two years. With that we were looking to get away from Hisense. We have had good luck with Toshiba and despite any familiarity with the Fire TV OS we rolled the dice on this on, mainly because of the 120hz refresh rate. Imagine my dismay wiht finding out this is really a Hisense. And the refresh rate.... I don't know if the OS is just so bad that it's holidng it back or if this is a spec misprint. Oh also.... the 120hz refresh rate doesn't apply to the HDMI inputs, just the apps used through the Fire TV OS, where the real problems are.
