bought to back up gopro videos and as emergency boot and recovery disk. Works well for both. Does not come with a cover so plan on spending extra $10 to buy one. Like that it has USB 3 speed. Very small and portable. Good value when on sale.

This was purchased to replace a harddrive that we had for over five years. Was surprised, and delighted, that there is no power needed, and it's small enough to fit in my purse. Also note that your u can quickly transfer large files to it with ease.

Gone are the days of expensive hard drives. Now, you can get 1tb of space for under $100. This was a great deal in a small, compact sized external drive. No fancy bells and whistles, just a great, high capacity, hard drive for an even better price.

My computer crashed and I had to make an unexpected new computer purchase. The geek squad suggested I buy this to back up and keep all data on one file and continuing to use it as back up. It was so easy to use and was a huge help during the transition.

Bought this to expand the storage on my Xbox One, and it's worked very well so far. It's very thin and light, easily hidden behind the console. I've noticed a slight decrease in load times (couple seconds or so) for the games I have moved over to it.

Bought this for xbox one storage, but decided to use it for pc instead. Ilike the fact the power indicator light will shine white when connected to usb 2.0 or less and blue when connected to usb 3.0. The included backup software suite is a good one.

Ive never bought an External HDD before because i never needed one until now. I cant compare it to any others since it is my first but from what i have experienced, i really like it. It is very easy to use. Just plug, copy and paste the files you want to save. Highly recommend...

The product itself is nicely finished and is solid. But don't give too much weight in the cloud storage when you're making the purchase decision. The cloud storage thing that comes with it is not that good of a quality. But with the discount, it is nicely priced and gets the job done.

There was a lot of space on the hard drive taken up by software that I didn't intend to use, so I reformatted into 2 partitions -- one NTFS and the other for my MAC, so that I could use it for time machine. It works as well as one could expect.

My original external drive died and had to be sent for recovery. .Needed to purchase new one so the can give me back my data. Works fine with USB 2.0 (this is a USB 3.0 interface). Need to watch since the USB cable is not standard. The connector into drive is a double connector. The other side is standard. I'll need to watch out and not loss this cable.

I bought this to back up my work PC as my company has limited disk space for my 10+ years worth of content. I did a manual backup rather than utilize the software provided with the purchase. So far, the drive has performed as expected.

This does the job advertised at a good price. I've only had the drive for a month, so I can't attest to its long term durability, but I've taken it around the united states where it has been bounced around in my bag and been dropped a couple times from a couple feet off the ground to carpet. Still works fine. I was concerned that it wouldn't do HD video well, because most portable drives like this run at 5600rpms and most video editors require 7200rpms to get good video. Also a lot of portable drives use green drives that spin down when you aren't pressing play, so you might get a delay when you press play before it gets up to speed. I don't know the specs on this drive, but I didn't experience any problems using this drive to edit HD video on AVID editing software on a laptop. So... no problems so far.
