This external hard drive is small, portable, easy to use, and holds an entire terabyte of information. Worth it for the price [and extra storage space].

I bought this unit to expand the memory of my Xbox and well it works. Easy install, fast speeds with usb 3.0, and a good price for the amount of memory.

Was going on a business trip, and my Work Laptop has a 256Gig SSD with the tools, Virtual Machines, and work files it filled up quite quickly, so trying to add a few Movies & games for down time wouldn't work. This drive fit the need perfectly, allowed me to transfer all the movies I wanted to watch without dealing with streaming connections, buffering or anything. Full ISO copies played back without glitching or anything.

Very small and compact. So far it works great. Had no problem formatting it and creating partitions for Mac and Windows. Great for the price and does exactly what I bought it for, which is a backup device.

I purchased the Toshiba Canvio Connect II to replace a WD 1 TB ebook. I had little doubt that anything could be better than what I was replacing, but I was amazed at the ease with which the Canvio was to set up and the speed of the process. Backing up over two separate windows devices has been a snap. If you want a device that actually does the process of backing up your computer without hassle and frustration, is easy to set up, and is portable, then I highly recommend this device.

This is a good drive when at a good sale price, anywhere between $50-75 is right for 1TB. The design is nice and ease of functionality is good. Here's a helpful troubleshooting tip. If your drive starts to make a metallic clicking noise, it might mean you lack power to operate it. I had mine plugged into a multi-USB hub, not directly into the computer, and the overall overtaxing of the hub with multiple devices plugged in, impacted this drive and it started to malfunction operating. Once I freed up the hub (ideally, plugging it into a direct exclusive port is best, but not always an option for some users) and minimized the overusage, the drive became silent again and operational.

This is the sixth Toshiba Canvio external USB Hard Drive that I have purchased - obviously very good quality for the price, or I wouldn't have so many. Solid and fast, great for typical office use.

Very fast and it's size makes it easier to take along with you on jobs. The carrying case purchased separately provides a nice protective element. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

I was on the look out for an external HDD to add storage for my Xbox One. After a few days of browsing deals and reviews, came across this Toshiba HDD. It's a 1TB drive with a speed of 5400 RPMs. It comes with it's own USB cable and was definitely easy to install. The console formatted the drive quickly. Only downside was because the RPMs are average when it comes to HDDs, the moving of the data from the console to the drive took about 50 mins or so. Other than that, it works great, it's compact so it won't take up space and it doesn't need an external power supply as the USB cable connection is more than serviceable.

Great data storage device. Compact, lightweight, easy to carry. Excellent price, very good quality.

I don't think I'll ever use up all of the storage on this thing. Pretty fast and very reliable.

Yep, for the price, its all worth it. Might recommend going with a larger one, but since the 1TB was on sale, i went with it. Overall, a reliable storage solution.

I bought this hard drive on sale about a month ago. It was just plug and play for me. So far, it has backed up my data flawlessly. I am pleasantly surprised at the speed this hard drive operates as my old drive was a 2.0 and this is 3.0. They both will suffice as I endeavor to upgrade my operation systems on both my computers. For the price as well as the portability you can't go wrong with this hard drive!

This was a great purchase for me as I have a lot of personal files and unfortunately always utlize my work computer. Now I can always save my personal files to this mass storage device and not worry about it affecting the amount of space or performance of my computer.Highly recommend it to anyone as it is certainly easy to use for even the most challenged person with technology.

This is a trouble free External Hard Drive. You don't need a AC Current 120 volt power source. your USB hook up is your power source. The price was very reasonable. especially for what you are getting. The ease of use. the ease of hooking it up and starting is like plugging in a cord and the computer does the rest. Downloading files takes only a few seconds.

Quick transfer speeds when transferring files to and from. Though this drive did not do what I intended it to do when I bought it, I had alternative uses for it. I intended to load it with MP3s and use it within my vehicle, but the drive would not fully spin up. Must not be enough power via my car's USB port, not sure and did not further investigate it. Anyway, the drive is small enough to fit in your pants pocket comfortably, provided USB cable is about 18-inches long, and it was at a good price at the time.

I bought the portable hard drive to replace a 500 GB drive that I have had for a long time. Now I have a 1 tera byte drive. The price was right and I had it shipped to my home with no problems.It is very simple to use and is small with a lot of storage capacity. Thanks Best Buy.
