Cheap SSD but Does the Job

I was doing research on different drives to put into my old 2010 Macbook Pro and decided that I was going to buy this Toshiba drive because Apple had been using Toshiba mechanical drives for a long time, making buying the SSD Toshiba make sense. I found it to be a wrong call for me. Formatting was quick and painless and I did notice an increase of boot up speed from the 5400 RPM drive I had originally however, honestly speaking, not as noticeable as it should have been. It was more comparable to a 7200 RPM Mechanical Seagate Drive I once had. I decided to return this product and bought an Intel SSD for my Wife's Computer and a Sandisk for myself and noticed a change in speed right away. The Sandisk was approximately the same price and gave a better Read/Write Speed Performance while the Intel (while being almost 1/3 of the price more) was well worth the money. Overall I would say that if you are looking for a Solid State Drive I would not recommend this one. Go with Either the Sandisk or PNY for less expensive drives or just spend the money and buy either a Samsung EVO or an Intel SSD for sheer performance and Longevity. Solid drive, no adaptor for desktops

Its technically made for laptops but they specs are fine for a desktop. It was the lowest priced option at best buy but does not come with an adaptor to fit it to a desktop bay.

The previous SSD is several years old, and I figured that at least it would mitigate data loss by virtue of being newer. The upgrade software was a smidge tedious to acquire, but worked flawlessly and I was running on the new drive within an hour.

Since it was going into a Toshiba laptop I assumed no compatibility issues which was the case. I had to also buy a USB to SATA adapter cable and clone my existing harddrive to the SSD and the upgrade to Windows 10 went smoothly after that.
