I purchased this product so I didn't have to worry about rotating media in my computer while out on the road. I'm a truck driver and everything in the cab gets shaken around quite a bit. I wasn't worried about capacity, I just wanted to make sure in the future that I was able to boot the computer and get online.

Installed my OS on this drive after installing in Alienware R4 computer. Performance went from 5.8 to 7.3. Computer much faster.

I purchased for my wives laptop and it boots so much faster.

I bought this to expand my partitions on my desktop.... Old partition is windows 8.1 and my New partition is windows 10 preview This is the right size 128G for testing and development of new products and systems.

Bought this to upgrade the hard drive in my Playstation 3 and it does the job perfect. Load times are significantly faster as well as installations. Can't see why this wouldn't be just as useful in a PC as well.

It may not be a Samsung Evo, and the software included might be lacking, but for the price (when below $95) it is a great low-cost upgrade for older PCs.

Wanted to have lightweight laptop for son going away to school that would be durable and lightweight. No worries ca out over heating

Well priced and works just fine. Thats it the rest of this is to get to the minimum charecter limit.

This device seems to have a much higher failure rate than the other solid state drives out there. It does good, but by far the best.

I haven't had any issues thus far with the hard drive and it perfectly meets my needs.

Still trying to figure out how to transfer operating system, programs and files from old hard drive.

I found this product in the store and it was a good SSD for the money.

I purchased 2 of these drives one day when I was running into the store and found it on sale for 50 at that time. They are running great in a Raid 0 setup and really doing out perform my old mechanical hard drives by 10x. Pro: Fast, Low Heat, Low power, No noise due to no mechanical parts!! Con: Takes a bit to get the setup right for SSD. Take the time to learn about how to diskpart. You will need to clean them and then convert them over to MBR in order to install Windows on them. But I think that is with any SSD really. Raid 0 was acting up a bit on me, took me about 3 diskpart to get the hard drives running right. Over all with software only issue, this product earned a 5 star because they run just as good as their competitor Samsung and without the price tag of 150 for the same size hard drive.

I purchased this drive to replace a 7200rpm Western Digital Blue drive that I found to be terribly slow in my work desktop. My startup and login times were atrocious, and it was a painful task to get my computer up and running each morning. A simple task like opening a web browser in order to check my e-mail used to be a chore, taking upwards of 20 seconds to initially launch after logging onto my computer. I got sick of waiting on simple tasks, and so I bought this drive on sale, swapped the drives out for this Toshiba SSD, and went on to install Windows 10 on the drive. Everything worked without a hitch, and now the boot times are insanely quick. Launching web browsers and documents are nearly instantaneous. I ran ATTO's disk benchmark before and after the swap to compare the WD Blue drive to this one. My read and write times went from 119mb/s read and 110mb/s write to about 554 and 510. That's pretty accurate to what is stated by Toshiba on their product box. Everyone is going to have a margin of error according to what hardware they're running it with. This drive is just as quick as my Samsung SSD I own at home. I highly recommend this drive to anyone looking to speed up their desktop or laptop performance. As for MacBook owners, I'm not sure what went wrong for a previous reviewer, but this drive holds it own against the best SSD's in its class.

I was very disappointed in the average seek and write time. It did not perform as the specifications claimed.

I purchased one 128GB drive and two of the 256GB drives, all on sale. Two went in PCs and one in a Mac. They are great drives for the price. Read and write speeds seem very good. They don't include any PC utility software so if you think you will need it look at other brands that include it. Before I purchased I did some searching and found a Toshiba SSD Utility. It launched OK but all options were greyed out. After installing the drive I ran the utility and options were still greyed out. Made many calls to different Toshiba divisions and they didn't have a clue, other than there is no utility. There is a download link for a Toshiba only version of NTI Echo which will clone your existing drive to your new Toshiba SSD. I didn't use this software so can't comment. If you think you will ever need to perform a secure erase or perform a manual TRIM you will not be able to unless you purchase 3rd party software. Would have given 5 stars but can't because Toshiba support was so bad and the lack of utility software.

Installed the Toshiba 128gb ssd drive to my 2012 late model Mac-Mini. Boot time went from 50 seconds to 17 seconds. Applications open up almost instantly. It's relatively easy to install an ssd in a laptop pc or desktop pc. This is my 3rd ssd drive and this Toshiba is installed in a Mac Mini and the installation is rather difficult. I had to purchase #6 and #8 torx bit. The electrical connections for the fan and antenna are very very tiny and I don't see anyway to re-connect these tiny parts so I removed the antenna and fan out of position to allow access to the hard drive but I didn't disconnect the electrical connections. The service length of the wires was just long enough to do this. The serial connector for the hard drive is larger and less difficult to work with. Word of advise is be very gentle because you will not be able to repair a broken wire or connector. It will have to go back to Apple. It was well worth the time and effort to add this Toshiba ssd drive to a pc.

Was looking for a speed boost in my almost 3-year-old laptop. Decided on this one, and I haven't been disappointed. It's as fast as I hoped, with no issues to date.

purchased and tried for about a week had some issues with dual booting but it is FAST.. i dont know about windows but in ubuntu you do not even goto a startup screen.. yes it is that fast. however.. i wanted to do a dual boot and windows from another drive saw this as a usb device and the only way to load ubuntu in same system was via bios select. hmm look in leaflet in box and could not find a resolution. searched online this A.M. and got a virtual busy signal.. website would not load. i am guessing it may have been a jumper setting.. who knows at this point.. would i recommend it .. yes but samsung needs to fix their support site first..

Bought this SSD to upgrade my older system. Even though it is only a SATA II system, this SATA III speed SSD drive has increased boot time and system speed dramatically. I'm getting about 270MB Read and 250MB Write speeds which is SATA II effective max. Will also be able to continue to use this SSD when I eventually upgrade my computer to SATA III.
