Not sure what I should say about this drive. I have it installed (finally) and am totally pleased with the boost in performance. My Toshiba laptop boots in only seven seconds with Win8. The installation wasn't entirely trouble free though. Once I was able to get the software that clones the drive to work the drive has worked fine since. I would recommend this drive to a friend only if they were tech savvy. One note I bought this because of the offer of free installation by the Geek Squad, don't believe it. They would not clone the drive for me.

Works fine and quicker boot up as expected. Occasional hang momentarily stop scanning but then re picks itself.

Bought this drive because my computer was running extremely slow. It would take up to 5 minutes to fully boot. After cloning my previous 7200RPM mechanical drive to this one, my computer boots up in less than 20 seconds. Had it now for several months and no issues.

Very good price for a decent sized hard drive. Fast, reliable, and fair price; what else could you ask for.

Using this SSD HD in an external USB 3.0 enclosure with a work-provided laptop (no admin rights), and it is fast. No issues so far. Drive required connection to home computer first, where I have admin rights and could format it. Once that was complete, installation into the enclosure was simple and it is working very well for me. I keep my 50GB+ music library on it to use with iTunes for listening and syncing with devices (iPhone, iPod, etc.).

If you're going to be using this as a "C Drive" in a PC, it is HIGHLY recommended that you install Windows Fresh off of a Retail media or USB key. The disk drive drivers on a fresh install prevents clonezilla BSOD errors while in the middle of using your computer. Very good drive for the price. FAST!

I bought this to replace a sluggish mechanical hard drive in a laptop, the price to the capacity (On sale for $79) was a sweet spot that matched most online retailers. Now to the bad, when I got this plugged into my laptop, all seemed to work fine, I downloaded the software and was prompted to reboot, it was then I was faced with a nightmare, the source Hard Drive and the destination SSD were both bricked with an obscure message of "binary is verified by nti certificate", this message you will get NO MATTER what drive of the two you slap into the laptop, I took it to BestBuy and it stumped them, they could not find any solution but return the SSD and give sheepish smiles apologizing for the problem. My old drive was now also useless and I was out of a Windows 10 Pro, nice! Now, software aside. This is a good drive, after this problem believe it or not I went and got an other one but this time did a fresh clean install of an old Windows 7 that I had, it went flawlessly and I was able to upgrade that version of Windows so no total loss, I noticed that the laptop was EXTREMELY zippy with the SSD in place, and for that I will not give 1 star, I am very happy with the actual drive's performance even though I did no actual benchmark. The software is SERIOUSLY flawed, just look up NTI Echo 3 on Amazon and see the spectacularly bad reviews. The Drive is great, get the drive but do not for the love of all things that is holy, use the software...do so at your own risk.

Its hard to say about this ssd, the immigrant software not easy to use, some time I had error an OS with no reason, fast but not realiable! So far still work fine.

Wanted Quick start and load for my new computer. Amazed at how fast and reliable this SSD is.

Worked right out of the box. Runs just as fast as the Samsung Pro for less money. 256 GB vs 250 GB for the Samsung Evo. I already have 2 128 GB Toshiba Q Series Pro that I have used for over a year with no problems. Toshiba offers only a 3 yr warranty vs 5 for the Samsung Pro but Imho not worth the price difference.

Installed easily, good speeds. I installed it in a Freenas server as a cache drive and it is running well.

Easy to install and works great on my Mac Book Pro. I'd buy another one for sure.

I ran some benchmark apps and it meets its rated speed with ease. I never had a Toshiba SSD before but I would not hesitate to use one again. I downloaded the back up / cloning software from the Toshiba website and it was pretty simple to use! Transferred my OEM disk to the new SSD without any resize issues.

The drive worked exactly as described. I opened the box and removed the static wrap that it came in and installed it into my laptop with no issues. Installed windows and was ready to go. I have had the device for at least a month now and it still seems to function perfectly. I actually plan to purchase another for an older laptop computer to help speed it up as well.

I upgraded an SSD that I already had in my bot. The transfer took some time, but it was relatively easy using the software available for free on Toshiba's website. Once installed, I noticed a significant difference in speed in Windows startup, and opening applications including gaming. The read and write speeds are 500 MBps. Definitely a really good SSD for the price.
