Great all round laptop/tablet... Plenty of speed from the I7 processor, plenty of storage on the 1TB hard-drive, and a super clear touch-screen. Not to mention the back-lit full keyboard and 1200ac wireless connectivity. I shopped around (a lot) and this deal can't be beat; a Best Buy exclusive! One last item, a free upgrade to Windows 10, if you're interested...

This is my first laptop. I have always been a desktop/tower user. My lifestyle and job description has changed and as a result, I am on the go quite a bit. Having my computer with me when I am on site with clients or watching my granddaughter out of town is a great plus. I used to use my iPad and LogMeIn to accomplish tasks on occasion in the past. I am an accountant and pretty much live on the computer at work and then additional hours at home. This new laptop has been the answer. It is fast, responsive, great screen resolution for viewing awesome pictures, great keyboard shortcut functions. I have attached it to a Toshiba DynaDock on my desk. I have a full keyboard, large monitor and scanner connected to the dock so it ends up operating like a desktop. I can unplug it and walk away without unplugging all peripherals. I love the many modes that this laptop accommodates. Flip it around and it works like a tablet. I can take my computer to the couch using the Wi-Fi built in. Only negative is the fact that I had to buy an external drive for DVD/CD/Blu-Ray play or record. It came with Windows 8.1, upgraded to 10 when it was released and totally love it. 10 fixed everything I hated about 8.1.. I had Vista at home and 7 at the office, transition between computers has been fine.

its fast reliable the battery lasts and recharges quickly. its solid but not heavy. the touch screen works great it doesn't get hot. i really dont have anything bad to say so far. i got a sweet sale too so that was an excellent bonus. im lovin it and ive been through many from gaming desk tops AMDs i5 i7 HPs, asus,and dell so id say good stuff Toshiba

I bought this laptop for home use and for homework. So far it has been great for me, has lot's of multitasking power and hasn't bogged down no matter how many things i'm doing or how many windows are open. Windows 8.1 is a little different, but once you get it set to your liking it's really pretty cool. It streams movies fast and I haven't had any trouble with the Wi-Fi. A little scary not having an optical drive or an ethernet connection, but I haven't had a problem yet, and a USB optical drive is really cheap these days. Pretty cool when it's in Tablet mode because it's huge compared to a standard tablet and it's very lightweight and portable.

I have been a desktop/tower user, never cared for the laptop. My life has changed and now I need to be mobile for my job and life in general. The computer is quick, love the touch screen and totally love the idea that the screen rotates 360 so it becomes a super huge tablet! I plugged it into a Toshiba dynadock and attached all the peripherals to that. I have a 22" monitor, cordless keyboard & mouse, and cool mat attached to the dynadock when I am using it at my desk, Just a power cord, chill mat & dock cord to unplug and off I go. Love the wireless, long battery life and great screen resolution. Pictures and videos look so much better on this laptop. Was a Vista user, been using Windows 7 at the office, Windows 8.1 took some getting used to, switched to 10 as soon as it downloaded. I am a business owner and accountant - this laptop is perfect. Recommended this to my niece starting college - loves hers too.

I have owned my laptop for about a month now and I love it. Its fast and still runs fast even when I am running multiple programs or have multiple browsers open while perusing the internet. I like that its versatile especially when I am traveling. I can prop it up to watch a movie or use it a tablet to read a book. The only drawback for traveling is its not as light as I hoped it would be but that's no biggie. The touch screen is super responsive which is a plus when reading in tablet mode. Its only been a month and so far this is a quality product.

The processor seems to be top notch. I like the idea that it was not extremely priced on the high end.

My old lap top started freezing up and was not loading Quicken and other programs. Based on it's age and the cost of repair, I decided it was time for a replacement. I did a lot of research before settling on the Toshiba Satellite. I work a lot with spreadsheets and prefer a number keypad. Toshiba is one of the few manufactures that fulfills that requirement. I bought the laptop in May which was installed with Windows 8.1. I have not yet upgraded to Windows 10. So far I am pleased with the performance of the new laptop and I love the touchscreen.

Pros: The touchscreen and flip feature are great. I really like the ten-key keyboard in addition to the main keyboard. The processor is quick. Cons: Trackpad sometimes does not respond after using certain websites that involve java. Touchscreen still works, but trackpad does not pull up the cursor until you put the computer to sleep or restart. Speakers become softer when in folded mode, because they are pointed away from you.

So far so good, bThe battery life is exceptional this notebook is very diverse and it's applications. I enjoy the lighted keypad in the TenKey would deathly recommend for people that need something they can use it in multiple different ways .

Purchased for use by a new college student. Her brothers have Toshiba's as well. This unit was not too expensive and well equipped. Covers most bases except extreme gaming. Handles all the standards well: browsing and MS-Office tasks. Good for occasional heavier work such as photo editing. Versatile display can fold screen back and use touch. Doesn't have a DVD drive or a LAN port, but you can buy a LAN dongle for a USB port. Haven't had it long, but seems to be Toshiba's usual quality. This is our 5th Toshiba laptop. .

I was little apprehensive with the purchase as the price seem to be lower than the competition. After using for a month now, we are very happy with our decision. The laptop meets needs for a kid going to college. It has plenty of disk space, good memory, latest Intel processor. It is fast to boot up. The only thing you need to be aware is that there is no Ethernet connectivity, so you will have to use this in WiFi mode only. With today's technology, we do not think this to be an issue for most people.

This is the second Toshiba satellite I have had and the things I didn't like about the last one are not a problem with this one. My biggest complaints were battery life and weight. This laptop is very lightweight even though it has a large screen, and the battery last most of the day.

I received this as a Christmas gift because my old laptop needs a new motherboard. It is a nice computer and it will basically do what I need it for. The downside is there is no CD/DVD player.

Love this computer. I've always had a Toshiba Satellite for the quality, performance, and price. Although I'm still adjusting to the Windows 8 I but will be updating to the windows 10 to see if it's any better.

I really like the touch screen and tablet like functionality, but I hate Windows 8. It is the worst operating system I have ever witnessed Microsoft put out in the marketplace. Whoever was in charge of developing it really missed the mark by a mile.

So far I love this computer! I'm still learning my way around, but it's a great computer and I'm really enjoying the touch screen - it's awesome. Love the backlit display too! It doesn't have an optical drive though. Somehow I missed that when I was choosing my laptop. I don't have the best internet connection sometimes, so trying to download Windows took me days - it would have been REALLY helpful to have been able to just put my disc in. And, no movie watching! :(

I would highly recommend. Very easy setup. Took less than an hour. Excellent battery ( 9 hours). I cannot believe how fast it is and such a good buy for the price.

This is the best Windows laptop I ever owned. The i7 chip is blazing fast, the laptop can be used as a tablet, it has a backlit keyboard very useful to type in the dark late at night. It has a touch screen which makes it easier and faster to scroll and resize. It is very well made and I am sure this laptop will last for years and years.
