If you haven't noticed a significant improvement in Wi-Fi coverage after installing the extender, we recommend relocating the unit to a position within your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently strong; yet far enough from the router to effectively extend its range. Please verify the RE status LED is indicating a solid connection.

With it the door bell could not acquire a signal thru our brick exterior from the router in the rear of the house. The setup instructions were not the best, and it turned out the last option was the only option that worked.

The signal LED remains red, even though it's extending the network. The ability to extend is weak - it barely extends a network within an 1100 square foot house.

Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear you were able to set up the extender. In the future, we recommend considering our intuitive TP-Link Tether app which allows you to set up and manage the extender from your smartphone.
