Good for short distance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the best cost effective routers which can deliver speed. Used it for only few days but liked it very much. The coverage of 5GHz is less, after 3 walls and 7 meters the speed dropped from 400Mbps to 120Mbps. If you are looking for 5GHz coverage this is not the one, as a matter of fact not many routers can give 5GHz high coverage unless you are ready to spend more than $150. For that prize just get a mesh system. This router can give good speeds in close range with 5GHz and good coverage at 2.4GHz.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very difficult to setup with app. Had to set it up manually. Which was not difficult. Just time consuming. Especially, knowing there is an easier way to do so. So far… Signal strength is strong and consistent. I live in a Condo. Thus, this device is perfect for me. Cons Initial setup Must mention! Once your device is setup. Go into the settings, in the app. Your looking for device updates. Update your Router! Not only a router
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it not only as a router but to run a VPN server at my house in Europe. It can run OpenVPN and PPTP VPN. The router can also connect to a VPN server as a client and all your connections will be routed through VPN. I'm also using it with TP-Link AC1200 Wi-Fi Extender(RE315) to extend the range of Wi-Fi signal. This is a nice Wi-Fi mesh combination which connects you to the device with strongest signal depending where you are.

Easy Setup, good value, reliable signal
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did quite a bit of price comparison while shopping for a replace router for my parents. This router was reasonably priced, the signal reaches easily through a 1700sqft 1 story house. Was able to get the router up and running in about 15 mins. Most of the time was spent untangling wires from the previous router. Been using the router for about 2 months with no break in signal.

Decent router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The setup was relatively straightforward, and the router seems to work reasonably well. The user interface web page is a bit "dumbed down" and with fewer options than my old D-Link router (DIR-655). But it has the capabilities that I need, including the ability to put the MAC addresses of my devices into a whitelist so that only my devices are allowed to connect. I did not attempt to measure the actual bandwidth of my connections, but they seem more than adequate for my modest needs, and higher than my old router. It also seems to boot-up a bit faster than my old router. I have only 2 minor gripes, though I was aware of them before I purchased it. (1) the antennas are not removable, so I could not replace them with longer, higher-gain antennas. But the signal strength I get at my furthest device is the same or slightly better than what I got with my old router. (2) the status indicator LEDs are on top of the router rather than my preferred location on the side. I place the router on top of a bookshelf to minimize signal obstructions from furniture etc. But when it's up there, I cannot see the status LEDs unless I get up on a ladder or lift the router off the bookshelf and tilt it so I can see the LEDs.

Archer AC1200
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works real good -- That is what I wanted and that is what I got -- I have it going with a couple of super cheap AC1200 USB adapters (8 bucks each) on older laptops that needed help and can't believe how well it works -- Adapters are using the Realtek RTL8812BU chip -- So -- If your adapters or whatever are using same chip you can be pretty sure you will be happy with the this TP-LINK

Good Dual band Router with Giga byte ethernet port
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price it is the good Dual Band Router with Giga Byte Ethernet Port. Stable and reasonable Wifi connection for an apartment Router interface ( setting page) is not easy to understand. But it is not a big deal

Crappy Wi-Fi network fixed
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to set up as an access point because my main router is far from my room. Got a 100 ft ethernet cable, and works perfectly. It already had an Access Point Mode, so set up was a breeze. And it looks good too. Haven't tested it yet on its router side functionality. Will add to this review in the case I use it as a router.
