Spent well over 10 hours trying to get this router to work properly. From the start I didn't want to screw up anything so had a professional walk me through setting it up. It did connect, but my emails wouldn't fully download, websites opened slowly. I then called TP-Link's tech support twice. First time I could barely understand due to the language barrier & asked her to constantly repeat what she was saying. The 2nd time the accent was a bit better and was able to get some help, but still had issues. Then I contacted TP-Link twice via chat for a total of about 3+ hours. They were good, but still couldn't fully help me & even offered to have a supervisor call me, but it wouldn't have been in enough time to return the router & get a refund from Best Buy. So I ended up returning it.

This simple to use router is and has great speeds. The AC1750 provides 450Mbps while on the 2.4GHz network and 1300Mbps while on the 5GHz band. It works great with my Spectrum 100/10 speed and have 6 devices connected without any issues. The device also looks pleasing when placed in my office. I also like the dual USB ports as I can share my files to other people connected to network. Submitted as part of a free sample program.

Easily rivals my Netgear NightHawk AC1750 for half the price. I live in a 3200sq ft house and it provides coverage through-out with no issues. I have a bunch of devices connected with no issues which include: - Synology NAS - Xbox One X - Samsung SmartTV - Vizio Smart TV - iPad - 3 x iPhones - Macbook Pro - Samsung Laptop - EcoBee - Android Tablet - Comcast Cable Box Awesome router and have not had issues with it so far!

    Nice n EZ

After finding out that to setup a new 4k Smart tv, I would need a new AC router, to replace a balky, tired 8 yr. old N router. After reading reviews I chose this one because of TP Link's size & reputation. It also added more speed, & I did NOT want the bare minimum 1200. At 69, I wanted to "futureproof" myself, if possible. The installation was relatively EZ, except for a hard to understand their accent customer service rep. After WAY TOO LONG, he finally asked me to switch the leads & VOILA, we were in business. SO now we have a Smart TV, a printer, a new laptop & an 8 yr old netbook, as well as the cable tv box all hooked up, and all were EZ. I am in NO way Tech-savvy & would recommend this unit to anyone. My price wound up in the mid-sixties, due to Best Buy's Trade-in Recycling program, which I advise you utilize'

Set this up for my in-laws after they switched cable companies, and their new ISP tried to charge them extra for wifi. For years they had their modem/router on the top floor of the house, which made wifi access difficult from the den two floors down. Their current setup is now modem plus the TP-Link Archer C7 router one floor down near their main living area, broadcasting centrally to every point in the house. Also combined this setup to a TP-Link Powerline kit so their desktop PC upstairs have 100% reliable connection. I thought about spending more for a higher-end router, but they simply won't need the data and power that comes with something more expensive. This router is simple, secure, and fast. So far very reliable.

    Super Easy Setup

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have setup many WiFi routers, and this by far is the easiest and fastest one I have ever done so far. It took maybe less than 5 minutes in all. It pretty much does everything on it's own as long as you follow the illustrated instructions. Once you log into the web interface in only takes seconds to have it up and running after you set up an account. Of course if you want to go into more specific account settings such as parental controls and QoS priority, it will take a bit more time. The only difference with the Archer C7 and C8 is that the C7 does not have a 3.0 USB port. Other than that, all the other features all all the same. The only reason it loses a star is because the 5.0 GHz band does not seem as strong as the 2.4GHz. I have a strong 5 bar on the 2.4, but only get 3 bars at the most on the 5.0 GHz. Awesome for SOHO use, easy to configure

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

To start, the instructions for this router are good enough that a beginner should be able to configure it with minimal effort. This is a wonderful SOHO router that will provide adequate speed for almost any average home or small office and is simple to set up even for those who have minimal experience in doing so. The router comes at a very reasonable cost considering the fairly lengthy feature set. The inclusion of AC technology is also a plus, especially for crowded apartment complexes. Good Extender for the price.

This is a pretty good extender, have tried other extender and this one is pretty straight forward to use, plug setup and move to ideal location. The LAN connection is fair but the wi-fi is pretty reliable doesn't drop or lose connection. Change IP address on my modem and reconfiguring wasn't bad as long as you follow the instructions or hit the reset button to restart over.
