So far, so good. Only had it up and running for a couple of weeks, and the setup took several hours and several reboots of the device before the wifi was finally functional.

Great router. Much better continuous connectivity, unlike my old nighthawk. I like that I can set limits for devices and even block the from the network.

Our computers were losing Wi-Fi connection consistently with the old router. Since purchasing the Archer AC4000 we have not lost Wi-Fi connections. It is so nice to have a reliable router.

I bout this router replacing an 6 year old Linksys router. It has worked flawlessly. The advanced settings can be intimidating for a beginner. That's the only reason it did not get 5 stars.

zero star for a zero product

it is really a zero star. bought new 10/20, within first month had to reset it. the last 8 months i have rebooted it at least once a month. then 06/04/21 i had to do a reboot, on 06/05/21 it gave up the ghost. no power at all. no thunder storms, no surge in power, it is under warranty, but the kicker is tp link makes you pay for shipping a broken device back to them and wait, unless you want to spend even more for there deluxe shipping.in all honesty i will not buy a tp link again. there customer service is great , but is offset with having to pay to send a defective device back. i just searched on the ac4000, its track record is not the best. save your money go with a different brand. the only plus is when it was running, it was fast oh yeah i also keep a cooling fan built for routers and computer stuff using its on power source. in the end it did not help.

Brand response from TPLinkSupport

Hi,
Thank you for your review. Per TP-Link’s Replacement and Warranty policy, we have four different Shipping methods. All advanced RMA options are subject to a fee that is dependent on the option chosen. This is in part due to the cost of shipping replacements, receiving defective items and is a standard practice in the industry, with many of our fellow manufacturers also charging a shipping fee for advanced RMAs.
If you looking to avoid any additional fees, we do offer a Standard shipping option. With this option, the only cost incurred by you, the customer, is the cost of shipping the defective unit back to TP-Link. Please be aware that TP-Link does not provide return labels for customers who chose this option.
