This is an adequate budget router, but don't expect a whole lot from the performance. This router has made my very fast internet speed very spotty, and it often drops out when I'm streaming. I wish I had coughed up the money for a better one.

What a difference an upgraded router makes. Going from a 10 year old router to this...night and day difference.

One of the worst routers I have bought. Doesn't allow devices to connect and keeps saying ip address cannot be obtained. Tried resetting and changing the settings. Nothing seems to work.

Hi,
Thank you for your review. The Archer C20 is designed to provide reliable, dual-band AC750 WiFi connectivity for your home with quick and easy setup. In your case, we first recommend resetting the router by pressing and holding the reset button for at least 10 seconds while powered on. Then, please re-configure the router using either the web-based setup, or the app-based setup option via our TP-Link Tether app. Please also make sure the router is properly connected to your existing modem/gateway via Ethernet and in the designated Internet port on the router.
If you'd like assistance with any of these steps, please send an e-mail with your contact information and a link to this review to [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.

Ok, this one is advertised as 750MBPs router... With 100MBPs uplink... Are you kidding me?
No, I don't need Geo Metro with tires ripped out of Corvette--returned this unit back to BB. It might look cool, but it is still underpowered and slow.

Device failed in less than 18 months with minimal use. I needed a simple, no-frills router for my mother. The service worked okay until it spontaneously lost power.

Hi,
Thank you for your review. Our WiFi routers are designed for quick and easy setup using either the web browser interface or our Tether app on your smartphone. If your primary concern during setup was related to Internet connectivity, it may be that your modem's MAC binding needed to be released and renewed, which can typically be done by power cycling both your modem and the router.
Our Support Team is always happy to answer any questions you might have about our products. Please feel free to e-mail [email protected] and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.

Very Energy Efficient Router-Archer C20
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I've been looking for an energy efficient router for quite some time. They're not easy to find. Often you can't even find any info about the power supply. The Archer C20 fills the bill. It's dual band so when I use the 5ghz band my once troublesome microwave interference disappears. I get full coverage in my 1600 square foot house and added plus is that the signal isn't even detectable at the road in front of my house. I "only" have a 15mbps connection (I dealt with internet speeds measured in kbps for years) and this router easily supplies the full speed to my entire house. It sips electricity. Uses roughly 3 watts--even less when I turn off the wifi. My main PC, TV and VOIP all have ethernet connections so this is more than adequate for me. I know others have greater demands, but hard for me to imagine who could need more.
