Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the Archer AX11000's ease of use, impressive performance, and wide-ranging signal strength as significant advantages. Many appreciate the straightforward setup and reliable coverage throughout their homes. While some users experienced occasional network connectivity issues or brief periods of latency, the positive feedback regarding performance and range significantly outweighs these concerns. The user-friendly interface also receives praise.

    Doesn't support network drives well.

This router does not have the easiest setup page, but it's workable. Internet speeds were very good. The weak link on this router is it's support of a network USB drive. From the beginning, this was always intermittent. Finally after a year or two, I could no longer map my network drive on this unit. I contacted Tech support and they were excellent. We worked through every scenario and it was determined that the router was faulty. They offered to replace the router IF I could find my original receipt. Who keeps their receipt for a $229.00 router after a year or two? I sure don't. I have the original UPC from the original box and a photo of the underside S/N. Because I had no access to a receipt or other proof of purchase, Archer has advised me that they won't replace the router. This was a relatively expensive router when I bought it and I should have gotten longer use from it. It was great while it lasted, but I'm going back to my old standby with Linksys. Linksys may not have the screaming speed of this router, but it's Linksys has always offered basic, reliable "bread-and-butter" products that last many years. I need a network drive. That seems to be the weak point on this router, so out it goes to the recycle service.

    Latency Issue Immediately

So nice looking and had such high hopes. We git this for the extra ports in the back so we dis not have to get a switch. After we installed it we immediately were having latency issues once in awhile while we were hard wired in. While playing Warzone and streaming on Twitch we lost connection 5 different times in a 2 hour period. We had an Asus RT-AX82U AX5400 router that never had this issue and it is over $100 less. Needless to say we returned the router, went back to our old router and purchased a switch for more ports. Before someone from the router manufacturer gets on here to question me yes it is in a great spot. Yes we were hard wited in and yea we made sure all the firmware was up to date.

Excellent router. Easy to set up, awesome monitoring and security features. The TPLink app makes managing it from remote very easy and it has performed very well, especially for gaming. Integrates easily with broadband or other ISP connections. Absolutely thrilled with this device.

      Hello Saul,

The specifications are clearly stated on the package, the specs on Best Buy and on our website. All ethernet ports, aside from the WAN are 10/100/1000 or Gigabit ethernet. The WAN its 10/100/1000/2500 or 2.5 Gbps. wired Internet speeds will be based on these specs and the type of ethernet cable used. Wireless will be based on the specification of WAN the ethernet used with the WAN, the band the client is connected to, and the client network card capabilities. With a 5 Gbps service you will want to look at Wi-Fi 7 like a Archer BE800. Just keep in mind most of these routers do not offer 10 Gbps for every ethernet port.

      Best Regards

    DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I purchased this router about 3 years ago. Everything was working fine, and then yesterday it stopped connecting to the internet. I called TP support (they are horrible by the way) and they told me that I needed to purchase security for the router in order for it to continue working! EIthe I pay 179.00 for 3 years, 279.00 for 5 years or 479.00 for lifetime security. SInce I already paid several hundred dollars for the router, why should I have to all of a sudden pay more money for it to work. I have never heard of anything like this, and I will not be pay for security on a router when I already have security with my home internet, and security on my computer. Makes no sense. Also as far as I know the other router companies do not make you do this in order for your router to work. Save yourself a headache and do not buy this product!

      Hello QuentynS

I am afraid to be the bearer of bad news but you did not contact TP-Link. TP-Link does not charge for security, or support of our products. This experience you had is a common one with these fraudulent companies. We highly recommend never doing a Web search for support contact information. This is how the majority of this type of fraud happens. Instead only use contact information found from TP-Link official website. For the US customers your support contact is found here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/. If your router is not working then please contact support at 866-225-8139, which can be found in the link provided. While your router will no longer be under warranty after 3 years we will still provide support for free as long as you own the product.

      Best Regards

STAY AWAY! Worst customer support I have every exp

Where do I start. I have had the worst experience ever with TP-Link. TLDR. Don't buy their products or support this company, they are terrible. You WILL likely waste your time and money. I have successfully setup and configured over a dozen routers. This is my first and last TP-Link product. After setting up the router, everything would work fine for about a day and then I would lose connections between devices on the network. I could not even ping one of the other computers on the network (I even tried disabling all of the firewalls on the computers). I would restart the router and everything would work fine again for a day or so. Then computers would stop communicating with each other. Again restarting the router would fix it. I even reset the router back to complete default settings and got the same behavior. I called TP-Link tech support and had a conversation with perhaps one of the most incompetent people I have ever encountered. He insisted that since the computers could connect to the internet that there was nothing wrong with the router. I tried to explain to him that a very large part of the routers functionality was to control traffic across the LAN. I told him that restarting the router fixed the problems and asked them to warranty the product and they refused... simply because I could connect to the internet. I went and bought another router and guess what....EVERYTHING WORKS FINE. It is acceptable that a company will have small proportion of defective products. This fact is unavoidable. What is not fine is for the company to be rude during customers service and NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. Essentially if you have a problem with this product you effectively HAVE NO WARRANTY.

This thing will work great for a few months, but then it's going to get a red light of death. Once that happens, it doesn't matter what you do. You'll reset everything a million times, replace the cable connecting it to the modem, etc. All of that will do nothing as this product just breaks constantly. This is my third one to do this.

We would like to know more, including if the 2nd or 3rd units were replacements from TP-Link. Having 3 units with the same issue typically indicates an issue with in the environment. We would need to review records and confirm troubleshooting with you to determine. Please email us at ussupportteam@tp-link.com so we can get more information and investigate this concern. tplink
