Took a little effort to set up, but works fine. The store employee was very helpful when discussing which router would best suit my needs. She was very knowledgable about the specs required for my cable network. The whole purchasing experience was quick and effortless.

In addition, I picked up a new modem to work in tandem with this. The setup was easy and everything is working great with my 1G internet. For me, this was a great buy & Best Buy had the best deal on what I needed.

I ended up returning this (the Best Buy employee who was extremely helpful told me that they normally don't have an issue with this router) and bought an Asus which I found very easy to install. Obviously can't comment on the efficiency of this model because I never got that far. My overall rating is due to the setup experience with their app.

If you ran into difficulty during setup steps, such as with Internet connectivity, it may be that your modem's MAC (Media Access Control) binding needs to be released and renewed so it can provide an IP address (and Internet) to the Router, which can typically be done in just a few steps.

It works great and it has full coverage of his 1800 square-foot house. He was due for an upgrade as his old router was 10+ years old.

I bought this to extend the range and it connected to the signal but caused issues with my subscriber pushing updates to their router. Ultimately disconnected and no longer use.
