Too bad you need internet connection to download the app to set up…but you can’t get internet because you don’t have a working router yet…kinda comical. I had to have my boyfriend download the app from his home internet and set it ip and then send me the confirmation email to complete the set up. Shouldn’t be so difficult.

It’s advertised that it offers VPN client but it turns out that the model that I got (and returned) only offers a VPN server. Apparently it depends on the serial number. Just be careful.

I bought this for my son for Christmas

They both have been using it and are very happy with it. I would recommend this item for anyone.

Although after installing and reviewing the admin page, this device does not have the ability to monitor traffic of all devices connected to it. Very disappointing as other TP-Link products do include that feature.
