I have had no issues with this. The range is great, the speed is great, and the management page is more than serviceable. It does everything I need it to do and does it without any troubleshooting. It's been months and I can think of maybe twice that I've needed to reboot it because of some connectivity issues that may have been on the ISP anyway.

This product works great. No problems once I was able to get it setup properly. I ended up calling support but they walked me through everything and now our wifi is better than ever. No buffering since we installed this router. We took the advice of the Best Buy salesperson and it paid off! This was definitely not the cheapest router but also the the most expensive. I highly recommend it. Definitely worth the money we paid for it.

Works great so far. Setup was easy. Range / coverage is good. TP-Link app is useful. Speed is much better than my old router was providing (about 5X better than my old AC1900).

I had bought the router and had it about a week when it stopped connecting. I did all the necessary setup to it (network name, password, firmware update). I went down all the rabbit holes INCLUDING doing the hard reset on it. DID NOT fix the issue.
I did an exchange on the router for a different one. This time I didn't do the firmware update but setup my network name and password and it's been working just fine.
I called TP-Link and let them know that the latest firmware update had a bug in it and that the issue needed to be fixed.
Speeds are really good and I have at least 15+ devices connected to it.
I would recommend to buy once the firmware gets fixed

I'm only giving 4 stars because they should offer the security and parental control etc for free not as paid subscription. Nevertheless I does a very good job. To my surprise I had a seamless and smooth transition from the original Fios router G3100 I downloaded the app and followed the steps in less then 10 minutes I had all up and running. Hint to avoid having to change on all smart devices and smartvs to the new network what you do is put the same network name and password at least for the 2.4ghz so automatically they will reach the "same network" but coming from your new router. You're welcome !

I purchased this router to replace the prior model that was a few years old. This thing is AMAZING! The signal is strong even outside of my property which is 1/4 acre. I pick up signal two houses down. I work from home and am hardwired in. My gaming PC is also hardwired. I have 23 wifi connected devices and everything works flawlessly with no lag. AWESOME router that's worth every cent!

I bought two of these after selling my previous mesh router setup with the intent to use one of them for my home network and the other for my dedicated network for my home office PC and to stream VR games via Virtual Desktop and it has worked great for both. I ran the ethernet cable from my modem to the home network router and then ran a cable from that router down to the other router and created two separate networks. Haven't experienced any major bottlenecking and both work great at the same time.

First purchase dead on arrival. Replacement router installed without much effort. This is a BIG router, size in this case doesn't matter. It is easy to manage and setup using the Tether app. I am disappointed in the range and performance of the 5G and 6G bands. I have about 36 devices on my network the majority are wireless. This device does work well with my TP-Link RE315 extender and my TP-LinkRE500X access point. However, I have not seen any significant network improvement over my retired Linksys MR8300 device. The ability to setup an auto reboot is a nice feature. Catch it on sale and it is a good buy.

Works well throughout the main floor but do have occasional lag issues when upstairs on opposite end of the house. Not tech savvy so could absolutely be something im doing wrong. My friends also consistently ask if Im from the future. Also looks like if you guess the wifi password incorrectly 3 times, each of those antennae tranform into drone rotors and it hunts you down in a “friendly” game of i just wanna talk to ya. 4/5 stars because I cant confidently say, with 100% certainty, that it wont dont that.

Having issues with my Linksys router I reached out to Best Buy via the online live chat tech. They were awesome with asking just the right amount of questions to recommend this router. I have had it almost 30 day and I am beyond impressed and pleased. It was really easy to setup and the smart phone app is one of the best that I have seen in a very long time. At this time I would and have recommended this product.

The router works well. It dropped connection a couple times when I first set it up but haven't noticed it since. It was missing one of the little rubber pads on the bottom, but it's not worth exchanging it for that. I don't notice any really improvement over my previous router but it's nice to have newer technology as my old one was over 5 years old. I don't have any signal issues but my house isn't that large. I have an extender that I use to connect devices in my garage that I just left in place.

Horrible 6e transfer rates. Incredible 6!

This should not be sold as a WiFi 6e Router. It has GREAT Wifi 6 performance! When connected to a 2.5GB port NAS with 2 NVME's running in RAID 0 as the data source, WiFi 6 at 10 feet is 220 megs pers second data transfer rate. THIS IS EXCEPTIONAL for Wi-Fi 6. However the same source, same PC on WiFi 6e at same distance and speeds DROP to about 160Megs a sec of sustained transfer. Thats HORRIBLE!
I am at a loss as to why the 6E fails so badly in this router and why the WiFi 6 is bar far the best I have had. I took back an Asus RT AX86U Pro for this. The 86U Pro could not keep up however with this routers WiFi 6. That is impressive but the low speeds of the 6e make me think a firmware upgrade could fix this.
I gave it three stars because the Wi-Fi 6 is best ever. I would even have paid for this router with out the WiFi 6e branding and would have been happier than I am now.
Knowing the 6e speeds don't even keep up with its own Wi-Fi 6 radios makes me frustrated and I will return the device over the weekend.
If your looking for incredible Wi-Fi 6, this is the router! It out performed all my Asus routers. If your looking for Wi-Fi 6e, look elsewhere. Again, if they sold this as just a Wi-Fi 6 router and drop the SUB PAR 6E, I would give it 5 stars for the cost.

Hi,
Thank you for your review. We're delighted to hear our Archer AXE7800 has provided you with the best Wi-Fi 6 experience you've had to this point.
Please bear in mind that each band on the router has a specific bandwidth configuration. For example, the 5GHz band supports up to 4802 Mbps, while the 6GHz band supports up to 2402 Mbps. This could potentially explain the difference in throughput within your scenario, especially when introducing other factors such as hard drives and file transferring.
Our support team is always happy to help answer any questions you may have about our products. Please feel free to reach out using any of the resources included with the product, or from our official website, and we'll gladly have a Support Agent follow up with you directly.
Thank you, TP-Link Support

This is a super solid router possibly overkill for our small apartment but since it was on sale I figured why not. I mostly bought it because it is a tri band with multiple streams in each band. Set up was super easy and it performed perfectly…….UNTIL…..we upgraded our internet to 1gig fiber. It was with the same ISP Hawaiian telcom. But when they switched our modem to the bigger one, the router just wouldn’t work with it. I tried factory resetting it half a dozen times to no avail.
I finally gave in and called tp-link customer support. That’s when Kenneth Carlos saved the day. He figured out how to use an old router I had laying around to do a MAC address clone since my computer doesn’t have a Ethernet port. I don’t know what country he’s based in but the guy is a genius. Thank you very much Kenneth.
