Purchased after my 11 year old router finally expired. Successfully connected to the modem and worked well for three days. From the fourth day however I’ve had to reboot the router, modem, or both almost every day as the signal keeps dropping out. Will be contact the Geek Squad for advice.

Solid features but won't stay connected.

While the router has many of the features I was looking for, I have to power cycle it every day. Both my wifi and ethernet randomly drop out and cannot reconnect. Looking online this is an issue that has been ongoing for over a year with various TP-Link routers and no fix seems to be available.

Would look for other options at this price point

Setup was fine, packaging was fine. Instructions were clear, reliability has been awful.
Device works fine as hard wired hub. Wifi stops working and refuses all connections of prior connected devices until hard reboot, connection needs constant reset. Followed online instructions to try and troubleshoot, nothing will connect to it just under a month later, can no longer return the product. Have had routers from this brand before, but this will be my last.
Wifi was capping at 80 Mbps on this, comparable replacement is running 400-500

Your Archer BE5000 Wi-Fi 7 Router shouldn't need to be frequently rebooted, and in your case, we would first recommend ensuring its firmware is fully up to date using the steps outlined in our FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2139/\
Additionally, if your Wi-Fi speeds were capping at around 80Mbps, this may indicate your client device(s) were connecting to the 2.4 GHz band instead of the 5 GHz band—especially if both bands were assigned the same name.

If you are having trouble connecting to the Internet after setting up the router, it may be that your modem's MAC (Media Access Control) binding needs to be released and renewed so it can provide an IP address (and Internet) to the Router. This can typically be done using the following steps:
1. Unplug the power from both your router and cable modem 2. Unplug the coax cable from the modem 3. Re-connect power ONLY to your cable modem 4. Wait until the cable modem is fully booted, then re-connect coax 5. Re-connect power to the router and connect it to the modem via Ethernet
This process should release and renew the MAC binding, so your modem can provide connectivity to the router.
