Not a bad card, would rather not have the antennas on the backside, but okay for what it is.

This card rocks! MY Dell XPS 8900 came with a cheesy WIFI Card that didn't even allow me to connect to 5G Networks. So, to fix- I bought & installed this &have had no problems at all. It gives me great signal range & strength along with solid bandwidth for schoolwork, video streaming, gaming. Would Definitely recommend this!

While the adapter is a little pricey it has been completely without issue which is worth a lot to me. Set up was dead simple and the connection has been rock solid and fast. Not much else to say about a network adapter.

I don't know what was wrong. I updated the drivers, installed all software, checked my modem/router and no luck. It just didn't work. I have moved onto an external network adapter and it works perfectly.

    Super Fast Wireless Card

The Archer T9E is without a doubt the next best thing to using a a wired Ethernet connection on a desktop. I have always been a big advocate of hardwired connections for desktops, but we all know that at times this is not possible due to many various issues. Today with the various wireless AC routers, the barriers that I previously had no longer seem to exist with using wireless. I got the T9E to go to a desktop we had in our second floor (I have my networking equipment in the home office in the first floor). Running a wire upstairs was going to take a lot more work than I really wanted to endeavor. Nonetheless, I felt this card could be the best option. When I first got the card, I was completely impressed that it actually came with both the long and short cover. which naturally helps as we were going to use this on an HTPC which is in a smaller case. It was simple to swap out the long cover to the short. The actual card looked sturdy and it was great that it had 3 antennas to really maximize the signal and quality of the signal. It has a nice little heat sink to help keep it cool too. It has a PCI-Ex1 plug which is good for the card plus is able to plug-in to all the other various PCI-Ex* slots. I initially installed the card on my brand new Windows 10 install. The drivers did not automatically download via Windows Update. However, I naturally pulled up the TP-Link site and was able to download the drivers to make it work, simple and easy. The product does come with a CD however, I do not have a disk drive on the HTPC I was using, so I was able to just download it and throw it on a flash drive. Once the card was up and running, I was amazed by the speeds I was able to achieve with it. I currently have Comcast's Xfinity Blast service. I am more than capable of maximizing my internet connection speeds (150/10 - I actually get more on both Ethernet and now wireless) while still maintaining great ping times. Another thing I had to verify with the card was moving files back and forth within my LAN. I have a NAS which contains most of our files including very large files. In all my tests I did, the wireless card handled the load perfectly (the limiting factor actually came down to my disk drives as it was maximizing their read/write speeds). Being that this card is being used in a HTPC, I also had to test various streaming video services. I had no buffering issues at all. All in all, I am very happy with the T9E. It works better than I would have expected for a wireless card. No matter what I threw at it, it handled everything perfectly. I have no reservations recommending this wireless card to everyone. It's without a doubt the perfect replacement for an Ethernet connection.

    High Speed WIFI

Some negative things about this card was having to hunt down the correct drivers for Windows 10. The other bad thing is having an open slot for your card. If you are a gamer with a high-end system and have used all your PCIe slots, between sound cards, GPU'S, and PCIe drives then there is no more room for a card like this. In that case you are forced to use a USB 3.0 network adapter. The T9E delivers on performance. It gives you fantastic range, stability, and speeds desired for a current home networking setup. Most of all it gives network setups the ability to perform well where ethernet isn't an option. This mean gaming over WIFI is a reality with this adapter.

    Pathetic bandwidth/ No drivers

After multiple hours of research and budget options, I decided to purchase this product. My machine is custom, and towards the higher end of the spectrum. My ISP is Google Fiber, and my speed tops out around 980 down 980 up depending on the time of day. My router is the Asus AC 2400 wireless router, and sits about 3 feet with no blockage from my computer.. I'm also well versed in routing and switching and consider myself to be good at it, as it is what I do for a living. With that being said, I was excited to install this network adapter. As a few of the review replies from the company state, you download drivers from their website and let windows install them. After following those directions step by step, to the letter, my wireless speed is 35 down/ 6 up. I've spent about 5 hours on multiple forums (including TP link's, and have seen masses of people complaining that their Windows 10 drivers are garbage. This network adapter does not work as advertised. I have tried many different drivers, everything on the TP link website and many different generic Broadcom driver sets which were recommended by many forums. TP link forums are littered with people which have complained that they still have not released a driver that works fully with Windows 10. Even after trying all the different drivers, this adapter will not achieve speeds any larger than 35down/6up. It is advertised to be capable of 1.3gbs on the 5Ghz band, which obviously my router is FULLY capable of. With my ISP giving me speeds of well over 900 down and up, it is disappointing that I have wasted my time with this junk equipment. If I could give negative stars, I would. Please do not waste your time with this adapter. It is WAY more of a headache than it should be.

I'm sure it's a fine PCI wireless card for windows 8.1 and such, but I was surprised that they really have no drivers at all for WIndows 10. I was hoping there would be some work around but after a few hours I accepted defeat.
