This wi-fi mesh system is a great value and easy to set up. I’ve only had it a few days now but it has proven it’s worth. My ISP’s rented equipment doesn’t even come close to this aftermarket product. The app can be a little finicky at times but that’s nothing that can’t be solved with a software update from the manufacturer.

Now that I've had these for quite a bit of time I must say I am impressed with the performance. These are not the fastest mesh systems out there but for the majority of people, these will handle the internet speeds offered in their area. Easy to setup and reliable, I have yet to reboot these and now I have two family members that have purchased the same model.

I got these when I moved into by new home to help get better WiFi signal. They were real easy to connect and set up, took less than 10 minutes. I connected all my devices without issues and the app works great to monitor all my connected devices to see what's connected and when. I don't however get my full internet speeds on these. I have a 400mbps connection and getting around 200mbps wired or wireless. I'm still working with TP Link to see it there's anyway that can be improved.

Setup was incredibly easy, I have wifi coverage over my entire yard now, and a more stable connection than I did using wifi directly from my cable modem.

I could not get my Traeger to hook up with the WiFi router provided by Frontier. Setup of this system was easy, now my Traeger is online and my WiFi speeds have a increased as a bonus. I am Happy with this purchase.

Thought I would get better range but am still experiencing some slow glitches. It may be the way I set it up but thought set up was simple.

I got the TP-Link Deco AC1200 when it was on sale for $139. It was easy to setup and we now get full speed at every corner of the house. I got it mainly to act as a wifi range extender and it works great for that.

Great coverage in all areas, no more dead zones! I live in an old 3 level home and the modem is on the second floor. Thick walls and sprawling rooms made a bunch of cruddy connections. This fixed it all. Now we have great coverage everywhere in the house. Super easy to set up and has pretty good management software.

TP Link Deco Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System 3 pack - GREAT!

Very happy with purchase! This was VERY easy to hook up and works great. Have an old house and internet connection was terrible - router is on 2nd floor in far corner of house. I hooked up one at router (wire they supply into router and one outlet needed), one at other end of second floor (just plugged into an outlet) and 3rd one in living room on ground floor that had hardly no internet connection (just plugged into an outlet). I had to create a TP Link account on my cellphone, followed simple directions and was connected with FULL BARS for the first time on my computer. Thrilled. Customer service available 24/7 too! Definitely recommend and would buy their products again. Thank you!

I could never get great WiFi coverage in my house, router in the basement or on the first floor just created dead zones. I put one of these in the basement, one on the first floor and one in the garage mounted high on the wall. I basically covered 3 of the four corners in my square house. I now have 100MBps plus wherever I go in the house plus in the yard. I chose to run cat 6 to each station to ensure low latency however I did operate one of the routers without the cat6 plugged in and it works well.

Have had this for a couple of weeks now and my family has no complaints. We had quite a few dead spots and it has covered them all! Set-up was simple and you can easily set up a guest network with its own password so you don't have to share your main network. I highly recommend it!

I installed these in our 1500 foot single level house. The main unit is in the basement connected to our cable modem/router. The other 2 are in the living space. I used speedtest.net to assess the bandwidth at various locations inside and outside the house. As this system was replacing a Google WiFi mesh (3 nodes, same locations), before installing I measured the bandwidth of the Google system for comparison. In almost every location the TP-Link reduced ping times by about 20% and increased bandwidth by 10% (or more). The app makes short work of setup and gives you good visibility into how your WiFi network is performing. Overall I am very happy with this product.

TP- Link leads you to believe it's a snap to make a connection. I tried for three days using every way possible to make a wifi connection to xfinity modem and gave up and returned units. Bought a wifi booster for $29 and my problem was solved

      Hi,

Thank you for your review. The Deco M4 is a Mesh WiFi solution, and should not be confused with WiFi extenders. Mesh WiFi systems are intended to replace your existing router by connecting the primary Deco unit to your modem via Ethernet, or to be used in conjunction with your existing router via Ethernet (to the main Deco Mesh unit) in Access Point Mode.

If you were looking to expand your home's WiFi coverage using the Deco system, while retaining your existing router as your primary gateway, we would've suggested using the Access Point Mode feature of the Deco. Whether configuring the Deco as your primary router, or in Access Point mode, only the primary Deco unit must be connected via Ethernet to your existing network connection (i.e. modem or router). The additional Deco units can then create a WiFi mesh connection to the primary unit. You can also opt for using the Ethernet Backhaul feature to wire all Deco units to your existing network via Ethernet if you would prefer this method.

We regret to hear you decided to return the Deco system; we would've appreciated the opportunity to follow up and help clear up any questions or misunderstandings you might've had about the product. If you have any questions in the future, please feel free to email USSupportTeam@TP-Link.com and a support agent will gladly follow up with you.

      Best Regards,
      TP-Link Support tplink
