I had purchased many Smart home devices. Only going through the pain of multiple brands did I finally settle on the TP-Link KASA. It works just as the app instruction shows. Before I purchased my first TP-Link KASA, I tried other brands that didn't work. I was instructed that the problem was my wireless routers (which they weren't). I even purchased new wireless routers to prove the point. Their apps didn't work. For the TP-Link KASA Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor plug, it was another easy install. App recognizes the new device. App connects new device to your wireless. App control finds firmware update and applies. App controls the device with an intuitive interface. Simple, and doesn't waste my time like the "others" did.

I bought 2. One for gazebo lights and exterior gazebo fan. And the second for my cafe patio lights and pond lights. I love the ease of use and being able to set a schedule to turn on and off. Love it for exterior uses!

Normally I use Zigbee or Zwave IoT devices due to their built in mesh capabilities. However in this case I decided to take a chance on this wifi smartplug since I've had a good experience with other TPlink devices. Even if you have a weak 2.4Ghz wifi signal where you plan to deploy this, it should still yield a reliable connection since there's not a lot of data that needs to be sent in order for it to operate effectively. I've had it for several weeks and even in the Minnesota cold it has not failed to operate without a glitch. You can confidently purchase it!

I used these for decorative lights outside like Christmas lights. The app is easy to use and you can set them on a schedule. These things are durable even in the rain.

All my remote led lights for the house are kasa. The ease of use and products are great. I didn’t want multiple apps to control these things. I also have it tied into my Alexa.

I used this for my outdoor Christmas lights, I like the flexibility it provides - timer, schedule etc. Also the Google/Apple homekit integration is a plus!

Easy to setup. Used this for Christmas lights outside. I like the ability to be able to set a schedule or turn on from my phone. Seems like a good quality and will hold up for a long time.

Easy to set up and control with Alexa. Love that it has two separately controlled plus. No more running out in the cold to turn off the holiday lights at night!

Works look a charm. Didn't want to have to unplug my outside decor every night so I got this in time for the Holiday season. Super simple setup and controlling it was google assistant is awesome.

I nearly ordered the standard Kasa smart plug, but I'm glad I didn't. I'm sure it's a great product, but I was worried about the colder environment in my garage and the fact that it's far away from my router, so I opted for this version and I'm very happy with it. It feels sturdy, the cable is thick, it works well and it gets a great signal from my router. I checked and it supports up to 15A, which is better than other cheaper brands (or, admittedly, older versions of other Kasa plugs). Couldn't really ask for much more.

Worked great I used it to control my outdoor Christmas displays through my Amazon Alexa and setting the timers was great set it and forget it , displays turned on and off at the set times.

Bought this around Christmas to set up my outdoor lights. Very easy set up through an app on your phone. It works with Alexa so you can set schedules or tell her to turn it pff.

Works as advertised. Easily connected to wifi. App provides control over each individual outlet. Bought on sale for $16.99. Now it is $29.99. A good value at $16.99. I'd think twice at $29.99.

Use it to control outside landscape lights. Easy to use and gives dual control.

Installation and setup took less than 10 minutes. Very nice outdoor plug that has a timer that can be set from your phone. Especially nice after power outages and daylight savings time changes.

Use every year and works great. I cam schedule it. I set up google to control on command. I have them for outdoor string lights as well.

I have four of these for outdoor lights. They work great for control christmas and other holiday lights. Work really well with Google Home.

Works as intended. Was perfect for christmas lights. Synced up with alexa and turned on at 5pm everyday, off at midnight. Will be using every year.

Product is great! Especially great when it come to Christmas lights. Can set up timers in the app or schedule for when you want things to turn on and off!

2nd one I bought. Purchase one last year and found I could use another one. Durable, easy to connect and like the way you can control wash outlet
