I've been building my Alexa smart home for nearly a year. I've now started to focus on outdoor lighting and routines. I looked at this because it's weatherproof (I live in maine so I need heat and cold protection) and offers smart control features. Thus far, my lights have not tripped, the scheduling has worked every time, and this works exactly as needed. Now, I've also put this in a weather proof box, but I have 3 of these and one of them has been exposed and hasnt stopped working.

Works great! Pleasant surprise is the two outlets are controlled individually! That's a great feature. These are important as they are capable for OUTDOOR use. I have them added with Kasa app, and manage through Samsung SmartThings app. That gives me the capability to group them with other devices. This completes adding my smartplugs for all! My Christmas scenes indoors and out, and capabilities for summer gun with outdoor lighting too.

I purchased two of these units primary to control our outside Christmas light. They allow me to control the lights remotely and place them on a schedule. unlike those that are dependent on its getting dark I can set this on a schedule to go on, or off, at a specific time or for that mater at sunset or sunrise. Much more accurate then using the light sensitive units that can vary depending on additional shade from a tree or building.

I use this for strings of outdoor lights. you can turn on plug 1 or 2 or both. It took a little bit to get the app installed on our phones ( we have 2 phones that can control it) but once installed it works flawless. They do include a cover when not using one of the plugs, which feels cheap and does not otherwise connect to the device. (easy to lose when using both plugs)

Works well with Google Home and the commands within. I can just say turn on switch and it works easily.

Kasa makes some really good products. This is but one I've purchased over the years. I have one plug running my outside Christmas Lights and the other my low-voltage sidewalk lights. Activating these lights can be done manually, or it can be automated - in my case using Google Home - and can be set for different start and end times. This product is a winner.

I used this over the holidays to set up schedules for the Christmas lights and blowups. It was great being able to easily turn off the blowups quickly on windy evenings to prevent damage while leaving the lights on. Kasa app works really well. Can also integrate with Siri via shortcuts, which not many other brands do. Also worked well with Alexa.

This has a great long range reach. Am able to re-configure at distance vs. others that could not.

Great addition to the WiFi lights I installed and operate using the Kasa app. I use this to control and automatically turn on and off my outdoor Christmas lights. I run all my Christmas lights to one power strip and the power strip plugs into the Kasa smart WiFi outdoor plug. Super easy to setup since it’s just like adding another smart light bulb. Also very easy to setup the on & off times using the app.
