I bought this for our outdoor Christmas decorations in place of an older timer that was difficult to program (and re-program and re-program when my 3-year old decided it was a fun toy). I was able to download the Kasa app, which is very user-friendly, and set the timing for the lights to come on and off as desired. It worked even better than I'd hoped! I highly recommend!

Very versatile solution for outdoor. I have one on my deck to control my upper deck lights and my lower patio string lights. This makes it easy to turn them on for the dog when when goes outside using Alex or Google. I used them for Christmas lights up front and set them on a schedule.

Love the Kasa products! They are easy to use and work great. Setup multiple schedules for each outlet of needed. Bought this one to control my backyard string lights and it works great! You can set dusk to dawn or any times you like. You can even create scenes! Awesome product! Putting them all over the house! Works with Alexa!

I bought these for myself and my parents to use with outdoor holiday lights. They were easy to setup and the app is very straightforward, which was important when it comes to my parents using them as they are not tech savvy. The app for these has seemed more consistent and reliable than the WEMO app which I have used with similar products from that manufacturer.

The TP-Link wifi outdoor plug solved my problems with controlling my outdoor LED string lights! Now I can say "Hey Google - turn on my Patio"!!!! It was easy to setup and Google Home app recognized immediately! It is very stable and has never lost connection! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Works great that I ended up buying a second one for a different area. Primarily was for Christmas decoration, but will most likely be utilized for other aspect the rest of the year. Each outlet is individually controlled and can be set on a schedule via the Kasa app. Integration into Alexa is a breeze and syncs without issue.

Works well outside, resistent, simple to use with app

Bought a few of these to remotely power lights and gutter heaters outside. They have worked flawlessly for me so far. Super easy to setup too. The app easily walks you through how to set them up. Once they're set up, your other smart hubs (like Amazon and Google) can find them and you can use them through those fairly easily.

Used it for Christmas lights. Easy to set a timer that was based on the actual time for on and off. Held up to rain and snow with no issues.

Just like with every other TP Kasa device, installation was simplicity itself. I picked it up from Best Buy and within 10 minutes of getting home I’d set our Christmas lights to come on 30 minutes before sunset everyday, go off at 10:00pm every night and respond to voice commands through the Hey Google! Couldn’t be happier.

This smart plug worked out really well this past Christmas. I had this set (via my phone) for my outdoor Christmas tree and window lights to go on every night at 5 pm and off at 11 pm. I had used one of these plugs before and loved it and must have left it behind in my moving.

Based on the reviews I bought this to control my Christmas lights outside. Being in the Midwest, it was a pain to plug and unplug lights in the middle of winter. This worked like a charm. The app is very easy to use and the plug has been weather-proof so far. Can't wait to find other uses when the weather warms up.

Great product. I now have three of these outdoor plugs to control holiday lighting. It’s so much easier to control then old fashioned timers. All the lights come on at once, don’t loose the time during a power outage, and can be controlled on you phone. What more could you want!
