I bought and return another brand outlet I found on Amazon previously after finding they require registering with an email address to use their app. Requiring a registration just to control my lights at home seemed like too much of a privacy invasion. This app does not require you to register, so you can control your device from your home network without an issue. I attached it to my guest network, but can still control it while connected to my private wifi. I will have to check out the new activity later. It seems easy to imagine these outlets sniffing local network traffic. Nothing to hide, but it is annoying to have apps and devices you own selling or distributing your data without your knowledge. It is good to support the preservation of your privacy when possible.

We are using it with our Christmas tree to turn on with Amazon Alexa and it works great!

Use this to turn a lamp on and off while we're away from home. Works flawlessly with the free app. And the biggest benefit--unlike others, it is small enough that you can still use the other outlet on wall outlet, it does not cover it like some of the bigger ones do.

Works great with echo dot. Very reliable. Have been using it for almost a year. Can be used remotely with Kasa app. Why buy a smart light for more money. Just plug lamp into this device (and it won’t burn out.

The switch was very easy to setup and connect with Alexa for voice control. Works great.

I have 2 different TP link receivers and this style is the one that I like the best because of how compact it is and does not take up the whole outlet. I haven't had any issues with it and set up was easy. I found a good price and wanted to get another

Already had the regular size one which I bought on sale andI liked alot but it was an outlet hog. This mini one works just as well as the other while being mini. The app works great from my smart phone & easy to use. Lights & AC on before I get in home :)

This is a great handy device I use it all the time to turn on and off lights with the convenient app I use on my phone. You can set a timer as well from the app to the wi-fi plug in. I have several of these and they work great!

If you have other TP-Link Kasa products, the mini WiFi plug is a good addition to the automated home setup. It's easy to set up, works great with Alexa and Google Home and the Kasa app controls all of it for back up.

Works great with Alexa! I have one more to put out and will definitely be buying more.

These are great. I use them for lamps in my house. Very convenient and you can also create schedules for on/off Functions. IIt took just a few minutes to get them connected to my WiFi. Easy to use.
