Works great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works flawlessly. I have set this up with Samsung SmartThings and Google Home. It paired without any issue and didn't drop the connection at all. Just remember that if you're using Google Home, if you have an internet outage, you can't use Google Assistant to command these outlets to turn on. As such, always keep flashlights near your bedside or rest of your home!

My favorite plug!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Submitted as part of a free sample program These are the plugs I have been waiting for, the size is perfect and they are great little devices packed with lot for the small space. Much like the other smart plugs gone are the days of trying to figure out some old timer plug. Download TP-link’s app, plug it in and follow the simple setup. I now use this to help keep my kids from sneaking TV time. The small size allowed me to fit it in a tight space where the kids cannot reach. Plus it is kind of funny to turn it off when I am away. I picture them watching a show then off it goes. I laugh and laugh to myself. :D This plug so far is perfect small size big features.

Easy to use & nice app
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this to use with out Christmas lights so that we would be able to turn them on when we were not home. This was extremely easy to connect and the app is very straight forward. After Christmas we plan on using this with one of our lights. I am planning on going back to purchase some more of these as they were a great price and do everything we need for a smart outlet.

Wi-fi Range extender with buildt-in Smartplug func
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are two parts to this product. It is a wireless Wi-Fi extended and it is also a smart plug. The electric plug is managed through wifi. TP-LINK Kasa App available in all the app stores allows you to remotely (not physical interaction) manage any device (on/off) attached to this plug. I setup the app in about 2 minutes. Probably 2 or 3 taps in the app is that is required, rest of the time is taken by the app to basically discover the devices, connect to them and setting up themselves to manage those devices. Really simple, intuitive and fairly quick. There is also a "scene" functionality. This is quite interesting. Basically, you can create a customs scene, say a "Movie watching" scene. In this scene you can set all light adapters to off and only one ambient light adapter to be on. So if you tap that scene, all lights turn on/off appropriately in one tap. This is pretty cool. I can only visualize the idea behind it as I had just one adapter to check the functionality. You can also set the app in away mode which will allow you to operate the plug even when you are away. For example you could turn the lights on in your house during night time when you are away to simulate presence in the house. The app also integrates with Alexa which means that Alexa can learn to use the app to manage the devices. So, you can talk to alexa which talks to Kasa and manages the devices. The second part of this device is the Wi-Fi extender. This is similar to the AC2600 Wi-Fi extender available with TP-Link. I have used this product and I can tell you that they have fixed a bunch of issues on the AC2600 with the AC1200 range extender with smart plug. I could setup the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies in one pass (the AC2600 has many issues in setup). There are quite a few controls such as a access controls that you can set regarding which devices can access the extender. However, one big con is that performance through the extender drops like a stone in water. In my house, I could get only 50% of the performance with an extender as compared to direct Wi-Fi. That is some serious performance overhead there in this device. But then, the purpose of this device is to provide better performance than a connection with just a single band of signal. The KASA app also allows you to control the extender functionality completely over the cloud when you are away from home or using local Wi-Fi when you are in. Everything works like a charm. I would recommend this product where you are looking to make your home smart and at the same time trying to get some wifi extensions going in your backyard or something like that. Submitted as part of a free sample program There is another major con. There is a significant reduction in performance when you compare to connecting to an extended vs direct Wi-Fi. In the case of the AC1200

Great smart plug
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this in time for Xmas. I used it to control the lights for my tree. Setup was super easy/quick since I already had Kasa installed on my phone. Was up in running in minutes. What's great about this plug is that it is lower profile and allows you to use the other outlet on the wall for something else.

Great WiFi Plug With Home Automation Support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TP-Link smart WiFi plug is great; the mini plug is wonderful. In particular, the HS105 is a mini-plug that will not cover up the second plug on an outlet. This is great as it keeps the outlet available for other items. The switch feels pretty hardy. The on light on the switch is not to bright and has a good dim to it. The switch uses TP-Link's Kasa app. The Kasa app is great. It has many options including scenes and really makes it simple for controlling the outlet. The switch also works great with Google Home and Google Assistant. It allows me to use my Google Assistant to turn on and off the switch. It’s actually really convenient. I have mine connected to a lamp in our office which is really helpful. The app also allows for scheduling which allows me to setup certain times to have the switch power on as needed. It’s a powerful app and even better since it works with my Google Assistant on my phone as well. Though this review was submitted as part of a free sample program, I have no hesitation in recommending the HS105. It will be a great addition to anyone’s home automation setup.

Remote Power On & Off Anything
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HS105 is an extremely useful device to have! You simply plug it into an electrical socket, then plug in anything you wish to remotely power on and/or off into it & your all set! Great for turning on a lamp near the front door when you're coming home late. Use it to turn on your coffee pot, before you even get out of bed. The uses are endless & the smartphone app is very user friendly. This is definitely a no regret purchase! *This review is submitted as part of a free sample program. However, my review has in NO way been influenced by this. TP-LINK requires that we include that disclaimer in our reviews, because they firmly believe in honest transparency. We are also required too submit honest reviews regardless if they are positive or negative.

Smart Plugs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless they stop working (only set them up today), so far so good. Once I figured out one step in the set up process (at one point you have to go to WiFi settings and choose the device, not your home WiFi) it literally took about a minute to set up each one (I set up six with lighting around the first floor of the house). Setting up a group is just as easy. I have all of them going on for a few hours in the morning and then again at night. Used to hate daylight savings time changes with my old analog timers - going around and resetting each one. Argh! Now from my iPad or iPhone - easy peasy!

Endless uses
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Submitted as part of a free sample program. I received a pair of these to test and found them very useful. Set up was pretty straight forward and integration with amazon Alexa was a breeze. There are countless things that these smart plugs may be used for. I am using one on a desk lamp and an electric fireplace. This allows you to switch the outlet on or off using the Kasa app or amazon Alexa. There are also options to set up custom schedules which I found very helpful. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get started in home automation this is a good place to start. Try one out, I think you will be pleased.

Excellent compact smart plug
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally! I've always been a fan of TP-Links smart plug line but there was always downside in that while you gained a smart plug you would lose an outlet socket. No more with the HS105! This smart plug is easy to set up, looks very sleek, and you don't need to give up a outlet to use it. It also has the same great features with the KASA app. Anyone looking for a smart plug this is the one to get. This review was submitted as part of a free sample program.

Works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I have several different WiFi plugs and devices and this is by far my favorite. Setup is a little different but once setup it continues to work after 2 months. I had a slight issue and called customer service to make sure I wasn’t missing something and they were amazing. If you want a Alexa enabled WiFi plug it is great and highly recommend their customer service!

Nobody Makes A More Reliable Plug
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried many of the "top rated' smart plugs, and nobody comes close to matching the ease of use and reliability of the TP-Link Kasa smart plugs. One of my main concerns when buying any smart home product, is how long the company is going to stand by their product. Since all of these products use the "cloud" for accessing and controlling the device, if the manufacturer decides to stop supporting that access, the product would be useless. Knowing that TP-Link is a solid company, I feel more confident buying their products. As for the product itself, setting it up through the Kasa App is extremely simple. Once connected, you can pair your Kasa account with Google Home, or Amazon Alexa, for voice control. I have about 8 of these around my home controlling various light fixtures, from lamps, under cabinet lighting, neon signs, etc. One of my favorite features that these offer is a sunset/sunrise schedule. This is perfect for room lighting. It truly is a set it and forget it type product.

Great Little Wifi Power Switch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few of these little switches, and they are very handy. If you are planning a fully automated home, these aren't for you (unless you plan on using an Amazon Echo. Otherwise, small, simple, and don't require a hub or anything other than wifi and a phone/tablet. I use mine with an android device. Submitted as part of a free sample program.
