Got in a special and really haven't had any problem with it, just downloaded the app, configured it with google home and that's it, no more configuration or troubleshooting needed. Really satisfied and thinking of buying more.

I have used other TP-Link products in the past and I've been happy with their quality, customer service, and value. That's why, after reading tons of reviews, I decided to purchase this to control lamps in my bedroom. Had some difficulty with it connecting to my homes WiFi. Called support and a tech had me connect to the guest sign in on my router, which is a 2.4ghz, using a different sign in code than my main one which utilizes 2.4 and 5.0. The tech said that the plug only works with the 2.4 band and using the main sign in for my WiFi may be causing a glitch because my router is trying to utilize the higher band. Using the guest sign in immediately connected the plug and their app that I downloaded. Connecting to my Google mini was a breeze. I can now turn on the lights remotely with the app or by voice with the mini.

I bought this one specifically for my Christmas tree and it is awesome! No more bending over to plug the tree in! I just say, “Alexa, turn on Christmas tree “. It’s so easy to setup and it works like magic!

It does what if says. It has not disconnected and easy to sync w my Wi-Fi

Once you get the plugs working they work great with google assistant. I have one for a lamp and one for my Christmas tree, which is set on a timer at night. The process was fairly simple just be sure you phone is on a 2.5ghz and not the 5. I do like they are compact and other plugs and fit easily beside them.

I started off with Wemo plugs when I first started my Smart Home journey because they were marketed very well. They kept dropping their connections so I tried the TP-Link plugs. They are very stable. I have around 10. This unit (HS103) is the previous generation and came in a two pack. It's rated at 12 amps whereas the newer HS105 plug is rated at 15 amps. I control lights and fans with them, so the wattage difference is irrelevant for me. You can't beat 2 for $18!

Love having the ability to control devices remotely. Also the addition of scheduling the lights in the could avoids the need to reset after power failures.
