Works great alone or with Alexa

Have had for a month now and great in shutting off son’s tv. Downfall - only works on 2.4 ghz WiFi so if you use an Alexa product it too has to be. I put Echo first on 5ghz WiFi but easy change.

Simmple setup and easy monitoring.

Both are enclosed so a 60 watt bulb warms it up pretty well. It doesn't have to be on that long so I use the scheduler for a couple of hours per night. This way, I don't wear out a bulb leaving it on all winter or waste the electricity. However, if it gets really cold, I can remotely turn them on for longer. Very simple to setup once I installed my wifi extender. Haven't had any issues so far.

Does What I Need Them To

Automate Christmas tree

light switch alternative

I considered hard wiring a light switch but thought what if my wifi and internet goes down. This is a great alternative as it comes with a button to manually turn on and off just in case of an wifi/internet outage.
