I found this on sale so I had to grab it. I use these primarily to turn on/off my Christmas lights during the holidays. The app lets you create multiple schedules for each device so it's way better than a simple timer. My next plan is to use it to control the lighting on our front porch and the drive way.

Great little WIFI plug!

Just ask Alexa, "Alexa, turn on lamp" and presto! the lamp in my living room turned on! Configuring the plug was super easy once I had Alexa set up. Fun to automate routine non-smart appliances! One drawback of my purchasing experience was that my phone wouldn't allow me to check-in for curbside delivery so I had to go in the store.

Of course you can use them to control many different items but I mostly use them for lights. The only difficulty is that when you control them thorough your phone and you ask Google to turn on the lights you will have to unlock your phone before it will actually turn the light on or off.

Handy to have smart plug

It had a few issues setting up through the app where it wasn't picking up my wi-fi, but I ended up applying my connection directly instead of relying on the discover wi fi option which wasn't giving anything. Apart from that frustration it's been working pretty great especially after I linked my Alexa echo dots to it!
