I connected my christmas tree lights and lamps to this and was able to control them via Amazon Alexa. Pretty easy to setup and everything connected seamlessly. Another thing to mention is that the plug is UL 94 V-0 rated which means if it does catch fire, the enclosure will stop burning within 10 secs. It's a nice to have safety rating.

It was easy to set up and works well BUT I would much rather it not say EVERY time you turn it on or off with SirI "turning on or off Kasa smart wi-fi plug with energy monitoring..." Please just do the job and shut the f---K up.

Now able to control appliances around the house through Alexa using these plugs. Their own app has some cool features too as they have their own analytics. Giving it four starts as had trouble configuring at first. The quick quide that comes with it was not helpful either. Took me about a few hours to figure out with some research and trial and error. My first attempt failed but it looks like it already stored some data and just needed to reset it.

Setting up was a little confusing as Apple wanted to set up in HomeKit and TP-Link wanted it set up in their app. Once set up, you can monitor energy usage was well as automate turning on whatever you want...in my case, it's activating lights. Excellent buy...especially when it's on sale.
