When it comes to smart plugs, There are a lot of options out there. I’ve used several brands over the years and the one thing I’ve noticed is, as technology evolves, eventually my plugs become outdated, no longer supported and I have to start over. I began using the Kasa plugs about a year ago as I phased out my failing devices and so far, they have worked great. Though nothing is perfect when it comes to setting up smart tech in your home, the Kasa app and plug devices work really well together. The process is as automatic and easy as one could hope for. In some cases, once you have the app up and running, it can scan and find new devices (like smart plugs) all by itself, without your help. For instance, during a visit to a family’s house, the app informed me it found a device and asked if I wanted to add it. Curious, I said yes. It instantly gave me control of that light switch. So, the Kasa app and devices are pretty easy to use and work well together. These specific plugs are also designed and work very well with Apple HomeKit integration which was also important to me. Conclusion: These Kasa smart plugs work great for me. The app is good and pretty much takes care of everything automatically. I am controlling them with Alexa, Apple HomeKit and the Kasa app, simultaneously from multiple geographic locations with no problems whatsoever. Yay!

Good plug with easy setup on android

Bought 4 of these to control indoor holiday stuff. I purchased Kasa because of much I like the smart outdoor plugs. I read reviews of this plug and people having trouble if not using homelink. I have the Kasa app on android and smartthings and had no problems getting each plug up and running in under 5 minutes. Scheduling was a breeze and I love the small profile of the plug. The only issue I have is every few days all the plugs go offline. They still run their schedule correctly but can't control via Kasa app or smartthings. The fix is to unplug and plug each one back in. Hopefully that will be fixed via a firmware update.

Most of the time it works perfectly. Every now and then, it loses connection with my network for whatever reason, causing me to have to re-connect it. Thankfully, that doesn't happen often. Its smaller size is a welcome change to the first generation plug, which was so large it prevented you from plugging anything into the second outlet. The best feature is it works with Alexa, so I can tell it to turn on a fan or my electric fireplace.

    Great replacement for Wemo smartplugs

These replaced some Wemo plugs that wouldn’t stay connected to my Amazon Echo control device. They work far better in that use case than did the Wemo. The Kasa software is simple and useful, the plugs work reliably, and they keep settings after power failures, It’s great being able to say, “Alexa, turn off the nightstand lamp” and have that work and to go on vacation knowing that these devices will help make your home look a bit more occupied when you are away.

This plug works great with Google or Alexa. I strongly recommend installing the Kasa TP-Link app on a cell phone first to set the plug up. An advantage of the app is that it will tell you how much power is being used when the plug is turned on. There is one caveat. The Kasa app appears to install the Wi-Fi plug on the phone even if VPN is turned on, but you need to first turn VPN off. It does not install properly with VPN turned on in the phone. I label each plug as light 1 or light 2, etc. Plugs can be turned on or off based on their location in the house also. The plugs can be programed to turn on at designated times when I am on trips, so the house looks occupied. Using verbal commands to control lights is a plus when I need to navigate at night. Also, it is nice to tell google or alexa to turn off any light that I forgot to turn off.

Had a need to be able to monitor power and remotely rebut a wi-fi modem and router. These worked perfectly! Inexpensive, well made, easy to setup and use. I monitor with a Kasa app on smart phone. I learned once a time is programmed, the units remember...I need them to turn equipment off, wait 15 minutes, then turn equipment back on. Works every time! Caution...unless you are on the same local network, if you remotely turn it off, you cannot turn it back on until you are back on the same network. However, has not been a problem. Otherwise...PERFECT!

The TP-Link Kasa plugs were easy to install and control the with the KASA app. They work much better that the old, bricked and abandoned D-Link plugs they replaced.

I bought these with a bit of skepticism due to their low price. When I opened the box and started setting them up I hit a few issues adding them to HomeKit, and I was starting to regret the purchase. Once I got them connected to HomeKit (I had to do it through the Kasa app for it to work), I was pleasantly surprised at how well they work. I have about 15 other smart devices that I use regularly and these respond the fastest! I have been using them daily for about a month and they have always been available, responsive and easy to use.

I recently upgraded to this Kasa smart switch and I have to say I'm genuinely impressed. I didn't really think I would use these switches very much but I seem to use them now for everything. The switch and the app were easy to install and the thing I like the most is that when I press the button on the app it turns on and off the switch instantly (no delay).

I love Kasa Smart Wi-fi plugs. I have 3 hooked to lamps in different rooms. It is nice to be able to have the light on prior to entering by just calling out to Alexa to turn on a specific light. The Kasa app makes installing the plug relatively easy (had 1 that gave me a difficult time but I eventually won the installation battle). I love that you can set up a schedule for lights to come on and off at times I specify not to mention I can turn on the lights while away from using the app. Great security feature.

I am 75 years old and just fair at computer skills. The Kasa smart WiFi mini couldn't be easier to install and use. I own six of these. I use them to control security lights, decorative lights, and an old non smart tv. Some are set with timers and all can be controlled with my phone as well as Alexa. Great product, reasonable price.

I purchased an identical set of these about a year ago and had a great experience with them. Therefore I purchase this set without any hesitation. These are very easy to set up on the Google Home system and they now (4) all work flawlessly to turn on and off multiple lights and even an aquarium fish tank pump. Highly recommend these and cannot beat the price.

Does what it says it will. Fits easily into a standard 2-plug outlet. Easy to set up. There is some confusion because there are 2 versions with model number KP125. I bought the "slim energy monitoring" version, not the "with Homekit" version named here. Mine does not work with Apple voice control, but does have rudimentary energy use statistics. Other one presumably works with Apple, but may or may not have energy use stats.

This is my 4th one purchased. Easy app and settings overall. Had a hard time getting connection first time installing/linking with error message ‘Accessory not found’. Switched from KP125 option in app to smart plug light device (plug above this one in app) and worked fine. Weird glitch, didn’t have this happen with the first ones I purchased. Working fine now. Purchased additional for daughter and my father.

Purchased for older mother so she could have her light setup on a timer and be able to turn it on at will without squeezing behind something to push a button on her old timer. Got with an Echo Dot and it works great. She loves it so i love it. Setup was pretty straightforward but it did take a little technical know how

These are great. We have 4 of them and whether we are have them on a timer or an easy way to turn quickly turn on multiple lights, we used the last one we added for cafe lights we installed on our patio. Our oldest are several years old and we never had a problem.
