Got this to have my Xmas tree on a schedule. It was a little tempermental when setting it up. But worked well once l set itan forgot it.

My experience is exactly the same as the review InTheKitchen wrote. I currently own several of the HS105 version of this which is the wonderful version they had before they "made it better." Now this product is a disaster. The old setup was simple and worked perfectly. Now it fails unless you're specifically using 2.4Ghz Wifi. My home network is 5ghz so I had to jump through a few hoops to enable+connect to the older-slower 2.4Ghz Wifi. Now I can pair the device with 2.4ghz. The old simple method is no longer supported. The new-better method FORCES me to use HomeKit whether I want to or not. Okay... I'll give it a try. Seems that nobody bothered to do any usability testing. They tell you to first plug in the device, the setup app connects to it then you need to scan the sticker. But it's underneath the plug so you have to unplug it to scan the bottom sticker which means everything you did before then was a waste of time and effort. After I finally paired the device it seemed to work fine from the Homekit app and from the Kasa app. I disliked the new setup but it seemed to work. Bzzzzt!!!! Wrong answer. I wasn't done. When I unplugged the unit from next to my desk and moved it to the outlet by the Xmas tree (10 feet away) it stopped working. Once power was removed it lost all pairing and had to be setup all over again from the start. So I paired it again, it worked, but as soon as I removed it from the outlet it lost all connectivity and had to be paired all over again from the start. The next day I returned both of these "new improved" plugs. Fortunately I found some of the older HS105 plugs that somebody was selling on a well-known online auction site and bought those. Much easier to pair, doesn't FORCE you into using Homekit and the plugs remember their setup when you move them to a different outlet. To the TP-Link folks. You used to make a nice unit that many people liked. Working with Homekit should be a new addition to how this works - not a complete replacement. Instead you threw away all the old functionality and now FORCE people to use a dumbed down and less capable Homekit whether they want to or not. I don't want to and won't and voted with my wallet.

This plug does what it's supposed to do. Unlike the Feit Electric plugs I have purchased at a Large warehouse store, these stay connected to the network, and work flawlessly.

Use these for my Christmas tree. Good plug. I prefer my wemo plugs but this work well as a chesper alrernative when wemo not in stock.

It was bigger than expected. I was looking for something smaller than the one that comes with an Alexa device and it was only slightly smaller. It worked fine, just too big.

Easy to setup and work great with our alexa. Just have to tell her to verbally turn on and off items in our house. We can also set up timers for the Christmas tree and decorations

I had some other smart plug specifically for homekit and they keep connecting and disconnecting . This one is always stable and reliable .

I love this smart plug. I use it for my Christmas lights so you don't have to go out every night to turn them off just program them on the app and you are good to go

Used the the plug for our Christmas lights which allows us to turn them on off put them on a timer. Easy to use with google and apple.

Love the one plug that works. It was easy to set up and is easy to control via the app. The other plug was defective, but TP-Link is replacing it under warranty.

Affordable. Works well with HomeKit. I wish it was a little smaller so as not to take up so much room at the outlet. Love the side button to manually turn it on and off.

This device connects easily and reliably to my WiFi. It’s east to set up and program. The app is easy to maneuver and change. I like it and plan on buying another one.

Super helpful. I use it every day with the schedule option from the app to turn on and off my espresso machine. No issues with connection and very easy to use.

I bought a few of these and they work well. Compatible with Apple Home and they are quite convenient to control with my phone. Easy setup that my 13 yr old took care of.

Awesome product. Never have gone wrong with TP-Link, can’t pass up that it’s HomeKit and the Black Friday price. Bought 11 this week.

I have a number of TP-Link Kasa plugs and they generally work well and set-up is simple with the Kasa app. Not so with this one, mainly due to the HomeKit integration. Needed to scan a QR code which was very small - the alternate method was entering a "provided" security code - which was nowhere to be found. After some google searches, I finally got it to work, but it was painful. Unless you really want the Homekit compatibility, go with another model.

Been using it for several months now, and have never had an issue with it. Always works well with Siri, even after power outages. Relatively good value as well.
