You need to download the Kasa app and go through a bunch of steps. Wish I new before I purchased. Other plugs I have I just open HomeKit, Add an Accessory, and installs quickly... Not this one.

Thank you for your review. We always recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the smart device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app, there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your smart devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range, and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Me → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

Solid product, but info should be clearer

Several products can be controlled just using bluetooth, so it was assumed this would too as hub was not listed as necessary

Did some research to find that this has been happening for years. Will be returning them.

Unresponsive after a day!

These plugs would be unresponsive from Kasa app and HomeKit after a day. Only way to fix would be unplug and plug them. They would connect instantly and work. But I cannot be doing that everyday. Hope it’s just a software bug and they fix it in the future. Btw all 3 had same issue
