    It does the job but not great. No easy way to save video clips. It says it sees motion all the time and it's just a change of lighting. I know why it was so cheap.

Notifications can be enabled when motion is detected; however motion-based cloud video clip storage is only available via one of our Kasa Care plans.

    Often without warning, the internet is disconnected.Just yesterday, after the network was disconnected and reconnected. It can't be turned on.

      We always recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the device's location. Within the Kasa app there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.

      If the signal is within the ideal range and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your device's firmware by selecting Home → Settings → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

    Wouldn’t connect to my high end home network. There are 35+ devices connected on my network but this camera wouldn’t connect.

Our smart plugs, bulbs, cameras and switches are designed for quick and easy setup using the Kasa app. If you're having difficulty connecting them to your network during setup, please ensure your router's 2.4GHz WiFi signal is sufficiently strong at the smart device's location. You can also tap the "I can't find my network" option during setup to manually select and connect to your WiFi network.

      Please also ensure your smartphone is not connected to a VPN during setup, as this may interfere with the installation process.

When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.

You can save the footage continuously on a microSD card, or subscribe to a Kasa Care Plan to store 30-day video clips to the cloud for added backup and more beneficial functions. Please note the microSD card is not included, and the camera will overwrite the oldest files when the microSD card memory is full.     Has major flaw

    Functions as described but this camera does not power on/off via Google Home or Google assistant. This means I cannot assure privacy programmatically. Every time I want the camera on or off I have to manually open the kasa app and manually change on/off. Other cameras I have do power on/off via Google Home. If I had known this I would not have purchased this camera,

Many of our Kasa smart devices support integration with voice automation systems such as Google Home/Assistant, Alexa, Cortana, etc. However, due to the nature of a surveillance camera (security), Kasa cameras do not support voice control as this could potentially allow someone else to turn off your camera(s) with a voice command.     I’m not happy with this camera at all. Lots trouble using it and the tech support was not helpful at all. Asked if I can return the product and was told I can only do an exchange. Got the new product very quick but still have the same problem.

    it was already used by someone and returned and it shows on that display screen on the app the cam did not go direct to video. Both video cams o bought where used and i dont do hand me downs im sure both would work if u had got them brand new.

    10 minute viewing limit makes it useless

    Useless as a baby camera because it times out after 10 minutes. Although Kasa support says this only happens when viewing remote, it also happens if you have a WiFi mesh. I will be returning this buggy paperweight.

      Thank you for your review. The 10 minute Live View limit should only apply when viewing the feed remotely (outside your home network/LAN). Please note that if your smartphone is connected to a VPN while accessing the app, it will be viewed as a "remote" connection, and may cause the Live View to cut after 10 minutes of consecutive viewing. Please ensure you are not connected to a VPN while doing so.

    Worst setup process I've ever experienced. After 2 failed attempts camera refused to broadcast its own network. Rest after rest and nothing. Not even worth a hassle of a warranty replacement.

    Dont buy it

    Not worth it . Worked good for a week then stop working. Try to communicate with Bestbuy to send it back and no luck . The closer store is about 1 hour . Between gas and 10 dollars restock decide it was not worth it .

    This is a piece of garbage. Don't waste your money or time on this. The camera does not record or keep track of events correctly, in addition to being ridiculously cheap quality. Returned immediately.

    the camera is fine. but the application is very bad, it is easy to use and I never saw any video in real time and the delay when rotating the camera makes it very bad in real time

    Junk .. worked for about 5 minutes then the motor stopped working ans got stuck in 1 position. We took it back to store ans got another brand
