Easy to setup and has great sound and video. The app is easy to use and can be use to adjust the camera away from home too. Definitely getting another more of there for inside and then onto the outside.

The device was easy to set up. So far it has worked well. It has a wide field of view so we dont have to move it to monitor our 22×22 TV room. Color is great and the night mode still has good resolution.

Overall this is a great way to get into affordable home-security! The reason I purchased this was to monitor my apartment while I am away from it due to Covid. Also decided to go with this brand after some reviews and because it was the most affordable/available for curbside pickup at my local Best Buy. Setup as noted by many is easy if you can manage apps on your phone, however let me warn you something. Don’t set it up on a particular WiFi/Router for testing purposes if you plan on then moving it to another location/WiFi. That was my first mistake, the reason is because the Kasa app is good yet semi-buggy so to re-setup the camera on a new network you have to ‘remove’ it then ‘add’ it again in the app. The problem is that during the setup process, it asks you at a certain point to connect to the Cameras’s own WiFi signal to be able to link it - I have an iPhone and when I go to the WiFi Settings, the Kasa Cam WiFi signal showed up the first time, but after that it literally took me 25 attempts to get it to show up again and then another after that. Very frustrating and time-consuming to simply get it linked again. Other than that there was only one other minor app-related issued I noticed. It has you setup 4 ‘Activity Zones’ so you can easily click on and the Camera will move to where you set up the zone. It’s a great feature actually, but in the app the images of these zones will freeze sometimes and it’s not the worst thing ever but it’s strange and you certainly notice it. They did just do an app update recently so maybe that was resolved. Oh! Last, If you want/have notifications on for movement, be prepared to get a lot when you’re home because there’s no feature to say “I’m Home” to make it not send you notifications on your phone when you are home. In the end; Overall good purchase. The camera quality is great on the app. Moving it and setting zones is easy and convenient. Sound quality is good enough to hear what’s going on in the room. Comes with long power cable, can mount it as well. Also, the way they setup up the Free plan for people who don’t wanna pay a monthly fee ($3 or $7) is noteable! So if your camera detects movement, it’ll save a clip of say 15 seconds to a few minutes of however long the movement lasted. Ultimately it will SAVE 48 hours of footage. Once that happens it deletes the oldest footage to make room the new. The DEAL-BREAKER is that you can DOWNLOAD the videos to your phone! Hence as long as you’re on top of monitoring/saving whatever you need, you really don’t need to pay. Really thought I would mention that because it’s not clear on the packaging/website how that works. Haven’t tried other brands to compare because I’m new to this but can safely say this is a good purchase. 4 stars.

I was looking at this camera and the Ring indoor camera. I want to watch the dogs behavior when I am not home. This camera can cover the complete room. It also can follow any motion.

This is an amazing camera I am able to keep an eye on my house and pups when away. It even notifies you of movement in your house. Also you can talk through the microphone.

After spending weeks researching home 1080p security cameras, I decided to give the TP-Link Kasa Cam a try. My decision to do so was helped along by the fact that I am a (very satisfied) user of TP-Link smart Wi-Fi switches and plugs. I really couldn't be happier with the Kasa Cam. It does take a bit of trial-and-error to establish placement, orientation and sensitivity levels (as with any camera of this type). Once that was taken care of, the camera's performance has lived up to everything good that's been said about it in user reviews. I experience few false triggers, few missed triggers, quick response and very short lag times. Low light "reach" and performance in near-total darkness is very good. I highly recommennd the TP-Link Kasa

We love our Kasa camera. It has a really clear image and sounds. full 360 view and wide pan when set in position. Quick notification when motion detected.

I bought this camera to monitor my dogs while I am away. It works great. Beautiful video, easy set-up and clear sound. I even talk to my pups through the camera.

The quality of the videos is good. The motion detection is very helpful. The cable to plug it is long enough so it gives you flexibility in terms of its location.

This camera does what i need it to do. The picture is very clear on my cell phone and the night video is too. Only wish the wifi range was more.

I purchased this at the beginning of March to put in a family member’s room at the nursing home which went into COVID-19 lock down shortly there after. It has been a godsend in keeping me connected to him while I am not allowed to visit. I wish the audio was a little bit stronger but other than that this is a very good camera!

I have a bunch of Kasa products. I really like the pan and tilt. Two way talking is good. Clarity is great. Love these cameras.

I use this to keep an eye on my dog when I'm out of the house. I specifically looked for a unit that could pan and tilt and wasn't stuck at a fixed angle like the Nest cameras. It's worked very well for my needs so far, although my only complaint is that the motor has gotten to be a bit noisy lately and it startles my dog when I move the camera around. I really like that I can use this from the Kasa app which I use for my smart outlets, and I didn't have to download a separate app

I bought this camera because a cam in the house that did not have delay in reviewing the video, like the ring cameras that I own. It has very clear picture and there is no service fee require to view the video clips. It also has a memory card slot for 24/7 recording. I also have one installed in my garage it work late very. I can see everything in garage. Oh it also has patrol mode, where it follow a moving until it is out view.

Maybe it's my router, but there is a bit of lag when I see people walk by while viewing the live feed on my iPod ans/or iPhone. The other Kasa model I have, which is the Sport, showed NO lag whatsoever. The overall picture is nice and clear and the app runs flawlessly... it's just the lag when viewing things that are moving doesn't sit well with me. :-(

Easy to connect. 9 month in service - only one or two resets was required. Good video quality. Good sound.
