I can turn the light to the right shade by asking or by the free app. This is great for mood setting and calm night lights also. Wish it was brighter and had more colors.

Have had these and others like it for some time and they are pretty rock solid. They do OCCASIONALLY become unresponsive, but that is par for the course.
