I purchased these hoping to increase my speeds as my computer was very far from the router in my house. These did an okay job. Honestly the speeds were a little disappointing, but in the end it did increase my speeds. I have around 100mbps down with a direct link to the router. On wifi where my computer is, I get less than 10 mbps. With the powerline adapter, i get around 25-30 mbps. So not super impressive, but its still an increase nonetheless. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase for the price I paid (Around $25 on sale), but the speed will vary depending on your house.

I have 170+ download speeds over wifi and was getting about 45 using this plug. My house was built in 2006. So not ancient wiring or anything. I was expecting this to be a little bit better but it wasn't fast enough for me to justify spending this much on it.

Nothing on my WiFi suggested there should be issues. Tried this method since I didn't have a LAN port nearby and it worked well. Haven't had an issue since (2 months after)

Please bear in mind that Powerline connectivity and data transfer rates will vary due to network environment variables including: distance between adapters, network traffic, noise on electrical wires, building material and construction, quality of electrical installation and other adverse conditions.
First, please ensure both Powerline adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets - no surge protectors or power strips as these will directly interfere with the connection. We recommend following the suggestions outlined in FAQ 409 on our official website.
