    This device tends to have issues after completing set up. Once it’s set up a becomes difficult to access admin page.

    It does help the Wifi go further but i feel that it has made the wifi slower.

      Thank you for your review. Please keep in mind that Wi-Fi extenders use a type of transmission called 'half-duplex '. This means that they can either send or receive data at a time, but not both simultaneously. As a result, the throughput when connecting to the extender may be reduced when compared to the router. This is an industry standard for Wi-Fi extenders and is not exclusive to TP-Link.

      In your case, we recommend moving the unit to a position in your home where the router's Wi-Fi signal is strong yet far enough from the router to extend its range effectively. If you have a dual-band Wi-Fi router, we suggest considering one of our dual-band Wi-Fi extenders, such as the RE220, for optimal results.

    Unsafe Device- Be Careful

    This device was easy to setup and working well for about 5 months. However, one night, I heard a loud electrical popping noise, and saw that this device had stopped working. I tried to reset the device and use different outlets, however it was completely dead.

    Don’t waste your money

    I waited to write a review on this. At first, it was great. Where I’m at in the house, the Wi-Fi struggles and gaming is terrible. This product definitely helped and was great. Then one day it just stopped working. Couldn’t connect to the network and the app wasn’t even able to find the device. Tried resetting the product a couple times and set up would be fine, all 4 LED’s are lit blue, still no connection. Definitely disappointing.

    I feel like it defeats the purpose because I want it on the other side of the house but if I can’t get WiFi from my phone this thing doesn’t make any sense.

      A range extender boosts the service it receives and push that signal out farther. It can only push what it receives though. You would need to place it in an open and unobstructed area with a strong signal that is between where the router is and where the additional service is needed. tplink

    This really works...my modem/router is upstairs in my house. Device placed downstairs kitchen.I get 300mbs for all my devices on 1st floor. No buffering

    This worked great the 1st few weeks, then would randomly shut off. I tried to put in different areas of my house, shutoff and recycle my network, then tried a hard re-set..(this fixed the problem, but only for a week). I have Best Buy plus and was just out of 60 day replacement/refund warranty. The rep said sorry, can't help you and to call the manufacturer since they offered a 2 year warranty. Called the manufacturer..they immediately approved a replacement..BUT...I have to pay to mail it back first before they will send me a new one!! This is unacceptable! I will not recommend this brand to anyone! A complete waste of money!

    Dangerous

    So first things first, it doesn’t work very well. It created all kinds of problems with my home network. I could have probably worked with it to figure that out but it runs SO HOT. It genuinely felt like a fire hazard. It was so hot I couldn’t touch without an oven mitt to unplug it. Don’t buy this.

    This worked for a little over a month and then stopped working. Of course after a month I threw the box out and so cant return it. so disappointed and now out $75.00

    Nope - Wouldnt connect to wifi

    I've got a brand new updated Panoramic Wifi Modem from Cox. This extender would not connect, despite hours of troubleshooting. Returned and got the same device directly from Cox, which worked flawlessly.

    Instructions are very poor. We have a re605x with out the help of tech support we could not get it to work. Tech Support was great and very helpful.
