I would have given it five stars if the integration with Google Home were better. It can be controlled from the Google app, but for example it does not automatically show the image on Google devices when someone approaches the door.

For optimal network connectivity we recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the doorbell's location. Within the Tapo app, there's a feature that allows you to measure the Wi-Fi signal strength of your Tapo devices. With the app open, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range, and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Tapo app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Me → Firmware Update within the Tapo app.

The software and sharing is fantastic. I’m buying another one.

Everything works as advertised and technical support is outstanding. In my opinion, there is one design flaw: If you use the enclosed wire nuts to extend your existing doorbell wires, be advised that there may not be enough room in the housing to secure the doorbell flat to the mounting bracket. I overcame the limitation by using one of the provided wedges as this gave me just enough room to secure the wire nut splice inside of the doorbell enclosure. (Even though it is low voltage, I am not a fan of, nor is it a good electrical practice to secure a splice inside of a wall. Therefore, for me, shoving the wire nuts back into the wall was not an option. And besides, the hole coming out of my wall was not large enough to begin with.)

Retrieving motion alerts is slower than I would like. Nice that we don't have to pay for a subscription service. Vedio quality is very good.
