There are options to turn on or off at sun set/ sun rise. Which I love for my lights I put in my tree. Keeps my back yard visible once it gets dark out.

All my existing switches were Kasa but the Tapo app allows you to link/import your Kasa devices so you can still control everything with one app. Not sure why Kasa decided to make or market a separate product line Tapo but regardless, all their devices have a good price and work.

It’s been so annoying to have to narrow the scope of what smart things you can buy based on your smart home of choice (Siri, Alexa, Google, etc). With the Matter open standard, and the fact that these devices abide by the standard mean you can use them with virtually any assistant. What’s more, is that they are super easy to pair, they are very responsive, and they blend in really well.

Thanks Wemo for turning your switches to scrap! The new TP Link switches were easy to integrate into Alexa app and work perfectly.

Also great for when traveling to set up random schedules to not have them on and off at same time every day. Since they are controlled by an app, easy to make changes if you want to when away from home. Great for not having to come home to enter a dark house. Easy to bypass schedule if you want to just turn on lamp or off by pressing button on end of the unit.

I thought it can do other changes( other functions) it doesn’t turn on the smart tv It is easy to install . You may think in other functions, that’s my recommendation.

Smart Plugs are designed to help automate appliances by turning power on or off at the outlet to the appliance, much like plugging and unplugging the appliance from the outlet. For appliances that automatically turn on when plugged into a power outlet, these little devices offer a multitude of automation possibilities. However, for appliances with proprietary remote controls or smart functions, you may still need to use the remote or the proprietary platforms to control their more advanced functions and features.
