They are very easy to set up and programming on / off times is a breeze. We use these for energy conservation as well as to make the house lived in while we’re away.

But I needed them so I kept them. Easy to set up and the app also integrates any Kasa plugs you might already own. It's been a couple of weeks now and I haven't noticed any issues.

You don't have have a thread hub or and other device in the building to use these, just a simple wifi connection. I love being able to schedule turning on and/or off based on calendars and times of day.

Could not get them to sync with Apple home kit so have to use the tool app which is working as expected. My only wish is that I could set the cycle by time of day. Instead I can set time to come on and off at le is set by 30 minute intervals. Does make things much easier to adjust as days start getting shorter.

One problem with these -- as well as other smart items -- is that there are no clear instructions about something in particular. You have to set these up within HomeKit and NOT with the plug's own app. If you set it up with the app that is made for the plug, you can't set it up in HomeKit. So set it up within HomeKit first to get it to work properly with it.
