Great for the price. But trying to zoom in on things it’s not clear enough

I bought these based on reviews and the PC Magazine recommendation of Camera of the Year. Big mistake. They constantly struggle to remain connected to our network all hours of the day and night. We have a mesh WiFi system with more than adequate speeds and connectivity at each camera location. I have tried all the network settings and tips I’ve found online but nothing helps.
We have one camera that’s pointing to a spot in our yard where we leave food for wildlife. More times than not, the food will be eaten and we will have no recordings of it happening.
Super frustrating and I wish I had bought something else. Once our year of TapoCare is up I will be purchasing different cameras to replace these. I honestly cannot think of a more disappointing purchase in my entire life.
I recommend contacting our support team. They can help identify any potential causes for these concerns and help find potential solutions. Support is free and available 24 hours a day. Email or call [email protected] 866-225-8139 and an agent will be happy to help.

TC85 all bricked during set up. Worthless

Bought 2 3packs of TC85's on sale $179.00 for 3. Upon setupthey all bricked themselves by doing the automatic firmware update and Tapo only suggest returning them to store. this is a known issue for tapo and while mine are new some people are outta warranty and having the same thing happen. Massive failure for tapo. Will go with another brand if they can rip off people with no regard for their custumers.

Pros: Camera setup was relatively easy. Picture is good. Cons: They will notify you when motion is detected. However they will not send you a screenshot in the notification unless you subscribe to the service. You have to pay more money for each camer you set up. If someone walks by and a camera detects the motion, it will send you a notification. When you click the notification, it takes you to the live camera feed. By then the person is already gone. Useless garbage.
Yes Rich Notifications with snapshots are a feature of TapoCare. However, if you are using local storage then when you click on a notification you just need to click on Playback and Download to see the detected event.

good quality, but the charger plug is not same as most and it calls for 5.5 hours of charging for EACH camera before using, but only gives one chord, so that's at least 22 hours of charging for the 4 cameras... really? Frustrated waiting on the 1st camera as I type this review. So much for getting it up and running quickly. But, from previous camera setup, I know TYhe app is good and easy to use.

These cameras are great. My dogs bark and I don't have to leave my house. Just a quick look at my cameras. How easy is that. No electrical connection needed. I love them and have recommended to my family and friends.

We wanted cameras for our home that would cover our house and detached garage that was wireless with no subscription required. This trio fit the bill and delivers good video.

Easy to install and set up. Still trying to get the sensitivity setting right. So far though these have worked great

Work great. After 4 weeks of use I still have 85% battery left during coldest part of the year. Can adjust sensitivity and duration of recording which is great.

They are the best cameras, the video and the images look great, one of my best purchases, you can record, and through the mirrors everything looks very clear.
