It gets the job done for calls & texting

My husband and I purchased two of these phones for personal use. They were $19.99 each and are "double minute" phones. If you've never had this type of phone, that basically means that you get double minutes for each minute you purchase as long as you have the phone. All in all, the phone works well for texting and making/receiving phone calls. Especially if you are someone who doesn't use a cell phone much. We don't use the web on it, yet as someone mentioned, the browser button can easily be bumped and tick off some of your time. However, there is an option in the main menu to lock the keyboard after so many seconds and that keeps it from getting bumped in a purse or pocket. You can unlock it easily by pressing two buttons. The battery life has been really good with about 7 to 8 days of standby time. My husband has also dropped his several times on pavement and it has scuffed and put some scratches on it, but has never chipped or cracked. Impressive, since the phone doesn't seem to be made with durable materials. You can also purchase minutes straight from the phone if you aren't able to go buy a card or get on the computer to add minutes. It does have bluetooth and works well with a wireless earpiece. If you want a basic phone, for a cheap price, then this phone works just fine. The good thing is that if you break it, you aren't out much and can just go buy another. Much better than a typical contract plan with a big carrier where you'd either have to sign another 2-year deal or shell out several hundred dollars to get a new phone. If you want a smart phone, then clearly this isn't the phone for you. If you just want to make calls from time to time and have a means for people to get ahold of you, then this phone is worth the price.

I got this as an upgrade for my youngest's previous Tracfone - he is too young to need unlimited texting and such but it gives peace of mind that he can call in a pinch when he's coming home from school alone, etc. He can take videos, the camera has enough megapixels to print a standard size photo if needed, it has MP3 capability (micro SD cards are cheap and there's no reason to not get one), etc. He's thrilled to have a phone with these features like his older siblings, and it doesn't break the bank. Sound quality is fine, it works fine for texting, etc. The menus aren't intuitive for me, but I don't use it every day. My kids get around on it just fine. My only issue is the dial pad is embedded in the qwerty keyboard, and the keys are so small I don't find it that easy to type on. Again, that would be less of an issue if I used the phone myself often enough to get used to it. If your usage is minimal you aren't going to beat Tracfone for features and cost.

Good basic phone. I bought it for my son who wanted a phone with full keyboard. SD card holds enough songs for his 11 year old self to enjoy (4 or 8 gigs?). Works good and is cheap. I would not recommend this phone for a 12 year old girl who will spend half her life on it. My son talks to his friends on X-box live and makes one phone call per day. " Hi dad, have a good day at work. I am having dinner. See ya." He can monitor the minutes so can I. When I can't find my phone I take his and there is no embarrassment or drama. At 30 bucks if he looses it or breaks it then I will not cry. PAY ATTENTION TO THE MINUTES YOU BUY!!! Some of the cards offer triple minutes, so you pay for 60 but get 180 which makes it super discount.

The web access is proprietary. You have to use the navigation buttons (up, down, right, left) to run the "pointer" and the features that you are allowed are just about nill. The screen is a bit small for what it actually could be on this phone. I love the calendar, appointments, To Do list, and notes features. The "qwerty" keyboard is wonderful comparing it to having to use a 10-digit pad, also much quicker for texting and entering phone book entries. Being able to record short video clips using the built-in camera is great. You can install up to a 4GB MicroSD memory card and connect it to a computer for data transfer. You can also play music on the phones music player and also use the 3.5mm jack to output it to something with better sound. For a Tracfone, this is good and economical choice.

Not so great. The keypad will go to the web brouser when you do not want it to. this costs you 50 seconds of use time whether you actually go to the web or not. (It wastes your minutes) Do not cary the phone is a pants pocket!

This phone is good for making calls and texting. But the internet is slow otherwise. Not for internet browsing. Get a smart phone for that. But the phone is adequate to make phone calls.

I wanted a QWERTY keypad. Keys are small. This phone tends to dial by itself.
