    I am liking this phone more than I thought I would. I had a smart phone that suddenly decided to hang up on an OS update right before a trip. I bought this phone to have something to use. Now that I have it, I appreciate the simplicity of a phone that just acts like a phone. I bought it with the TracFone 60 minute 90 day card. I was pleased to find that it actually gave me 180 minutes and 180 Mb of data. Some of the TracFone phones do the 3x deal. I'm glad this one did. It makes it affordable enough to use as a regular phone. I almost bought a TracFone smart phone because they offer 500 minutes and 500 Mb for 30 days at a cost of $15 (versus $20 for the 60 minutes of this phone). If I keep getting 180 minutes with each refill, I will be very happy. Otherwise, it is a nice emergency phone, but not much more. I did have a little trouble navigating the initial set-up because the instructions that come with the phone lack even basic details, like how to switch case when entering a Wi-Fi password. However, the tech support was fairly helpful.

    Worst experience with a phone ever

    Impossible to activate. Best Buy offers plans at time of purchase, but Tracfone never sends the Activation PIN to use the phone. Spent hour at store before they finally gave up and I had to purchase separate phone card. Got home and can't activate even with a PIN because now Tracfone says that the phone wasn't scanned/activated at the store even though the IMEI that matches the phone is clearly printed on the receipt. Spoke with 3 or 4 people at Tracfone, each one more inept than the next. Phone was bought due to an emergency situation and the best they can do is ask for a copy of receipt and tell me that a phone I need tomorrow will take 48 hours to activate. At this point, I think about any other phone would be a better choice than Tracfone.

    The phone has a lot of good points. I just have issues with the tracfone policies. I was transferring minutes from 2G phone to a 4G phone due to the 2g being phased out. I lost 7,000 minutes that i had accumulated over the years. I was told that they only saw 2,600 minutes of the 9,700 minutes i had. They said free minutes will not carry over. I had triple minutes on the 2G phone and I guess their records only show the original minutes and not the ones that are added on for free with the triple minute plan. In the past with tracfone I have lost my phone number due to changing phones. Be prepared to lose minutes and maybe lose original phone number. Luckily this time i did not lose phone number. I like tracfone but due to these issues i have had in the past i am cautious when i have to change phones. Other than that i am happy with the phone.

    I did not want a smart phone so I thought this flip phone would work well for me. The most important bad feature is it is not loud. The camera and volume buttons are located in the worst inconvenient location right where I hold the phone on the bottom side of the phone. The buttons should be on the top or in the front. Everytime I pick up the phone the volume button is getting bumped and turned down or the camera button gets hit accidentally. By then I lost the call. There is no speaker button like my old phone. You must click OK or center button for the speaker. I don't know know it got great reviews. The screen is really faded even though the brightness is up all the way. My old free 3g replacement tracfone was better.

    I believe that TracFone MyFlip is the best value cellular phone for those who do not keep their faces in their phone 18-hours a day! If one does not need ALL the features of a $600 "smart" phone, then the Tracfone Flip is the route to take. That being said, the phone does have excellent features and the phone is easy to use. Finally, for those of us who primarily have a cellular phone for emergency/safety situations, contracting with Tracfone is clearly the best value as it is the least cost provider and its coverage in the US is nearly 100%..

    I suppose I can’t complain about this phone having found it for $10 at Best Buy! It is just adequate for my 87 year old mother. One thing we don’t like is that when ou close the phone, it stays on the screen where you left it, and she gets confused about how to return to the clock screen to make a call. Also, we can’t figure out how to keep it from automatically switching to cell towers that reflect CST rather than EST. (We live on the border between the two time zones.) Tracphone has been easy to deal with and answers calls quickly. I suppose I would buy it again for that price!

    This was purchased as a gift for someone, so I can't speak specifics. However, she said she loves it. Good price and even shipped free at the time I purchased. If you want a tracfone flip phone that works on Verizon network, this is about the only choice. Apparently it runs android, but you can still use regular tracfone minutes rather than the smart phone ones (they're more expensive). Don't know how the android functionality is as my friend just uses it as a regular flip phone (no extra apps or web browsing). Would recommed.

    Affordable simple cellphone

    I needed for emergency calling mainly. Cellular service is spotty in the area where I live. This Tracphone Go Flip was 19.99 for the phone, not made for durability, but cheap and works for what I need. I activated and purchased a airtime plan perfect for my needs on their website. The phone charged up and activated per quick start guide and used it for a call -all easy breezy! Best Buy employee not knowledgeable enough for me to give him any credit.

    Phone for mom

    This Tracfone phone was a gift for my elderly mom. She is not a techie person and just wanted to make phone calls. Once she was trained to use the phone (remember not techie) she finally had the freedom and safety to have her own phone anytime anywhere. That was a great feeling for her. She really likes it!

    no problems activating the phone. phone is good basic phone. probably to this reviewer one of the better tracfone since about 2000 for 19.99 per month service. 3 bars service, volti verizon access. kaios 2.5 with kaistore installed. volume is good, battery is typical to other android phones, phone calls are clear. big thumbs are not a problem, easy t9 texting.

    Purchased this for an elderly parent who was regularly putting his phones through the washing machine. Needed a cheap phone with large buttons - check. Needed a phone with a protective cover - check. My main complaint is that you can't get an onscreen reading of your remaining minutes! You have to send a text to get the information. Dumb. Other than that, it serves the purpose.

    My old Tracfone didn't get service where I live. This one does! GREAT for phone if like me you just want to call and text. It takes a while to turn on, but when you leave it on, the battery lasts pretty well. It's pretty big (hard to fit in some pockets), but lightweight. Still smaller than an iPhone.

    It was necessary for me to print the instruction manual from the on-line Tracfone website. There were limited instructions in the boxed material (for the Tracfone which I purchased). The phone works well. I just need to have instructions as to where everything is on the phone.

    We contacted Tracfone to replace a 2G phone for my mother-in-law and all they would provide was a smart phone which is completely foreign to an 85 year old. Bought this phone at Best Buy and called Tracfone to change over the serice. All minutes transferred and it is much easier to use.

    I love the idea of a flip phone but the reception was poor and the phone wouldn't ring half the time. Might be a provider problem. I wasted 15.00 dollars on airtime that didn't get used and track phone won't refund or Best Buy. I returned the phone though.

    Good phone but outer display cracked without reaso

    The phone has some interesting features. However, the glass below the outer display of the time cracked. Now there is no outer display showing and just an unsightly mark instead. The phone never got dropped or mistreated.
